Beautifully designed 1940's cottage in the woods nestled by Indian Creek invites you to sit back, relax and unwind among the tall evergreens and lush vegetation. Plenty of room for the whole family or couple's travelling together. The three-bedroom cottage is complete with a kitchen, gas grill, free Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, W/D, outdoor fire pit and beautiful shared private trails that lead down to and alongside Indian Creek. Inside the cottage: The downstairs living space offers two informal seating areas with cozy furnishings. One with a Smart TV, a "real flame" electric fireplace, a couch with chaise (turns into a sofa bed for extra sleeping arrangements) and a lovely selection of books. There is also a small writing desk in the corner for those that need to work during their stay or just check an email or two. The other seating area is a lovely conversation spot or space to curl up and read by the gas stove, located just off the kitchen and dining areas. The dining table sits between the two living areas and is perfect for gathering for dinner or for playing a lively card game. In the kitchen, you will find all you need for whipping up meals including a four-burner stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of dishes/pots and pans. There is one bedroom on the main floor that has a queen bed and TV. Both bathrooms are also on the main floor. The back bath has a walk-in shower and washer/dryer, while the hall bath is split between a shower room and 1/2 bath. The upstairs second and third bedrooms are accessed by a steep and narrow staircase. The second bedroom has a full-size bed and TV and the third bedroom has plenty of room for the kids to stretch out, with 3 full size beds and TV. Outside, everyone can have fun exploring the shared outdoor areas that include private trails down to and alongside the creek, the community gazebo and the backyard seating areas and fire pit (Burn Ban in effect July 1 to Oct 1) These outdoor areas are shared with guests who may be occupying the other vacation rental on the property along with the homeowner who lives in the main house.
Getting Around: This property is located set back off U.S. Highway 101 just 9 miles west of Port Angeles for restaurants, coffee houses, pubs, and shopping. The closest entrance to the Olympic National Park is at Lake Crescent, just 10 minutes west of this property, where you will find kayaking on the Lake and hiking opportunities on the Spruce Railroad trail, Mt. Storm King trail and Marymere Falls trail, as well as a wonderful restaurant at the historic Lake Crescent Lodge. Additional day trips to other Olympic National Park destinations are an easy drive from the home. Both Hurricane Ridge and Sol Duc Hot Springs/Falls are a 45 minute drive from the home, the Hoh Rain Forest is 1.75 hours away and the Pacific coastal beaches are just over an hour drive to the west. The town of Sequim, with more restaurants, shopping, coffee houses and Lavender Farms is just a 35 minute drive to the east.
Additional things to note: This property has two vacation rental units on it and a main house (Homeowner). The driveway leading to all three units is circular, with two designated parking spots for the Indian Creek Cottage in front of the cottage. The cottage is indicated by a green sign with the name "Indian Creek" to the right of the front door. All outdoor spaces including yards, private trails to the creek, gazebo and seating areas are shared spaces with other guests who may be staying. While children are welcome, we do require that an adult accompanies all children under the age of 12 when anywhere outside on the property, specifically when around the naturally occurring hazards of the creek, private trails, and outdoor fire pits. Children under 12 are not to be left unaccompanied outside. Outdoor burning may be subject to County wide burn bans. Check to see if a burn ban is in effect during the dates of your stay before starting a fire.

Loved the cabin…roomy, had everything we needed, and a beautiful outside area. Easy to get to the places we wanted to see. Easy check in and check out.
House is cozy but was perfect for us. Lots of fun outside spaces. Really great location to get into park.
Dena was very responsive and easy to communicate with.
House was a great location for visiting Olympic National Park. Lots of driving still required to go to some "hot" spots - Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane ridge, it was a good central location for our visit. House is charming with comfortable beds, although ceilings low in upper bedrooms. We had everything we needed and property is beautiful right on the river with a nice path, great outdoor space and enough room for 5+ guests. We had 5 guest and the three bedrooms/2 bath was perfect for us. Would recommend and would stay again.
Stayed at this place for a few days while exploring Olympic national Park. The location was great and the house was well equipped for our stay including a very convenient kitchen. The host was right on site while we were there and helped with a few things that we needed. The place was cozy and charming and we felt right at home. The only drawback was it was a little close to the road although you couldn't see the road you could hear the road noise. Other than that it was idyllic.
We loved our stay at this quaint, peaceful cottage. It beautifully suited our wide-ranging group: 4 adults, a teenager, a tween, 2 kids, and a baby. Dena generously accommodated our group by providing a highchair and pack-and-play for the baby. The kitchen is small but fully stocked. There are lots of opportunities for relaxing both inside or outside. We particularly enjoyed the creek behind the house. Olympic National Park and other stunning sites are so close they're practically right in the backyard. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend the Indian Creek Cottage!
This little cabin is exceedingly cute and well appointed. With comfortable rooms, and multiple places to lounge, relax, and cook after a long day of hiking. The host has done a wonderful job of creating multiple outdoor spaces for grilling out or dining al fresco. One of my few regrets of the trip was that we were not able to spend more time enjoying the cabin. The only slightly negative think I could think of for this review is that the cabin is very close to the main road, so there is some occasional road noise, particularly if you are outside. But being so close to that road is also what gives the cabin easy access to the park, and lake Crescent just 15 minutes away.
Perfect gateway to all Olympic National Park has to offer
My daughter and I recently stayed for five nights. The cabin was perfect for two people, but I think it would have felt cramped if ten people stayed. The upstairs had very low ceilings. We cooked breakfast and a couple dinners in the cottage and the kitchen was well stocked. Our beds were extremely comfortable and with the air conditioners in the windows we slept very well. We enjoyed watching the salmon spawn in the stream off the beautiful path right behind the cottage.
The weather was gorgeous and we kept very busy. We went on a Puffin Boat Tour out of Port Townsend, did multiple hikes around Lake Crescent, Hoh Rainforest, Salt Creek, Dungeness, and Madison Creek Falls. We especially enjoyed Ruby, Rialto, and Second Beaches. Not only were the beaches and rock formations gorgeous, but they had the most amazing tide pools we have ever seen. It was a fantastic trip!
This is a really clean, cozy house in a beautiful location. We loved the path through the woods to the river and were so excited to see the salmon spawning. And so close to Langford Lake was awesome. Our host was great. Wonderful stay!
Lovely stay for a getaway weekend. Seamless check in . Owner very responsive .Very comfortable cozy cabin. Nice kitchen and outdoor spaces too. Would stay here again. Cheers!
Cozy cottage with funky fun layout, decor was charming. Multiple places to relax and talk in the house. Adorable places to gather outside! Nice little walking path to the creek.
This property was perfectly located to spend multiple days exploring various regions of Olympic national park. The property had everything our family of 6 needed.
We loved the stream nearby, the trail, and easy access from the cottage. The property was very nice and met our expectations. The kitchen was well-stocked plus there was a nice variety of seating/gathering areas inside and out. We really loved our time here. Thanks for making our stay so nice!
This property is in a beautiful location that feels secluded despite being right off the 101. The home was clean and had everything we needed. It is in a great location to get to all the places we wanted to visit in Olympic Park and also close to Port Angeles. We would definitely stay here again
My husband and two young adult daughters stayed for a week at the cottage. We all thought the home had everything we needed. We enjoyed the firepit and the some of the games available. We used the cottage as our home base for explorating Olympic National Park. It was a great location!
The house is a little quirky but we really liked it! It has a great outdoor area to sit and relax. Beds were comfortable! Although we did not cook the kitchen seemed well supplied. Communication was great. Overall great place!
This home served as a great home base for our travels in the Olympic Peninsula. Lots of space to spread out. My kids loved exploring the property - the river, the play set, the yard. Great experience!
