"This hotel was recommended by a friend who lives in Rio and I understand why. The location is near the Ipanema beach, safer than Copacabana, the rooms and facilities are nice and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We reserved the 6 hour city/Cristo tour with them which was a good choice. We also enjoyed the spa for massages which were also very nice. "
"Lovely spot, great staff, rooftop was brilliant. Housekeeping was the only disappointing part - had to ask for things to be replaced, had some hairs left in the bathroom when it was cleaned (I’m bald!) and never had any bottled water. "

"I am not sure how this hotel couldn’t get a 5 star review. The entire property was stunning and they always had everything I needed within seconds. The food was way better than most 5 star hotels, super unique dishes with lots of flavor. The team was so friendly and spoke good English. "Stayed two nights here after having spent two nights at a different hotel in Copacabana. The difference in both neighbourhood and accommodation were immediate. The staff were very welcoming and offered a welcome drink which I had on the rooftop before my room was ready. Great views from the roof and my room as well (could see Cristo Redentor). Had dinner and breakfast from the adjoining restaurant which were both very good. "
"Amazing stay! Stayed at the Janeiro hotel for 3 nights with a group of 4 friends and everything from the rooms to the service was impeccable. Rooms are large, very well designed, and very comfortable, with added personalized touches that made our stay all the more special. Bathrooms are also quite large and the shower is amazing. We enjoyed our welcome drinks from the rooftop which has a really nice view (and the drink options also top notch) and a nice ambiance at night. Did not get a chance to try the restaurant except for ordering from the beach, which I will say took a very long time to arrive. Other than that the stay was absolutely perfect. Will definitely stay again! "

Breakfast alone justified the stay.
24 hour corner store just a few steps away. Full grocery store a few more steps away. & then of course the beach a few more steps away.
Note:water in fridge is not complementary. I thought they were because there were just four small bottles of a no nane brand. "
