The interior of this older home is spotless and roomy. The beds were very comfortable, the two bathrooms were up to date, the kitchen had all appliances, The manager was very communicative. We are possibly returning in the summer for a stay here. The town of Powhatan is small and beautiful.

My family and I traveled to Powhatan for a wedding at The Mill at Fine Creek. The house and the town had such a beautiful small town vibe that was such a perfect place for us to hang out and get ready. We were able to enjoy the owners restaurant, which was right across the street, and an adorable coffee shop. There was also a great park nearby with walking trails and playground for the kids. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Came to town for a family wedding, it was nice to have a place where my immediate family could relax between responsibilities! A room for everyone, nice equiped kitchen, cozy living room and dining area.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Janie's Place for our niece's wedding! Homey decor, comfortable beds and a beautiful kitchen. Tracy met us at the property and was close by if we needed anything. Loved having Tracy's restaurant a block away and she was able to accommodate our gluten-free family members. One of the best VRBO stays we've ever had. Thanks Tracy!

My wife and I rented this property to visit with friends in Richmond and could not have enjoyed our stay more. Wonderful older home, right in the village of Powhatan and within walking distance to several restaurants and a distillery. Large lot, a cozy country home, quiet area (especially in the evenings), and the host was wonderfully responsive and of great assistance. We certainly look forward to staying here again when in Richmond, as well as recommending it to friends and family who also travel to the area.

We came for our daughter's wedding and rented 2 homes fairly close to each other so over all it was convenient to both homes and to the venue. Owner was very responsive to our questions and even when we thought we may need care for our elderly aunt, she was ready with a caregiver.

We were told it would be like staying in Grandma's house and unfortunately that was true. Just like Grandma's house much of the furniture was tired, many of the light bulbs were burned out, there weren't enough chairs for the dining room table, not enough plates, not enough silverware, no baking pans/sheets and the grill didn't work. Also, the upstairs bathroom (that services three bedrooms) is in one of the bedrooms... a little awkward to use after the people in that bedroom go to bed.
