"Stayed in the Iris for 6 nights and it was fantastic, upon arrival the front desk was more than helpful and the English they spoke was great. The room was very good with a very big walk in shower, breakfast was great with a wide range of cakes, buns along with cold meats, cheese, cereal and eggs and bacon upon asking. Tea, coffee and juices were also to hand. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and very helpful. What a great hotel this was and I would recommend this to anyone who's wanting to stay in a great centrally located hotel."

"We love this charming hotel built into medieval stone and very close to the Maiella mountains! Staff were excellent esp Eugene who can converse in English well, very generous of his time and provided excellent service throughout as well as Petra who was so funny and kind - both made the pleasant stay even better! Food was fantastic with breakfast having a great selection of both savoury and sweet treats. The only problem was the lack of airconditioning (there was a stand fan) in the room making sleep almost unbearable as we came at the hottest time of the year. No wifi in the room meant we had to do our logistics planning in the restaurant in the same building, just incovenient. Other than that, we will come back in a heartbeat! "

"The host ended up being extremely kind but we never received any communication or confirmation from the host after booking. Our rental was paid in full at the time of booking and we received confirmation from VRBO about our upcoming stay (address, etc) but no response from our host when I sent her a couple different messages. The day we arrived, we tried calling the host and got no answer but we randomly ran into her on the street near the rental. She apologized and said she was having issues with the baking aspect of her VRBO account and never received confirmation of our booking so the unit was already rented! She said she had another "vintage" apartment in town we could check out or another one in a nearby town, about 15 minutes away. We had been traveling all week and planned to meet family in Pratola, so we didnt want to stay outside of the town. The apartment was clean but on the 3rd floor with no a/c and it was over 90 degrees out and stifling hot in the rental. I would never choose to rent that apartment but we were tired and desperate so we decided it would work. I believe it was an honest mistake and we enjoyed ourselves visiting the small town but I would caution others to confirm your stay to make certain you don't get blindsided when you arrive in Pratola... Make sure the host is aware of your stay and if you don't hear back closer to your booked trip, I'd confirm with VRBO prior to your arrival. There aren't many other rental options in the town!"
