"I’ve stayed in the single room and it had all I needed for my short stay. I spent most of my time exploring the nearby villages/sites, so all I wanted was a safe accommodation nearby the main sites I wanted to visit (Seahouses, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne) with free parking, reasonably priced and a quiet atmosphere. Vanessa’s place ticked all the boxes for me. Perhaps not the place for you if you wish to spend more time at the property as you do not have a lot of extra space in the room and no cooking facilities or if you do not have a car as I do not know if public transport is frequent in the area."

"Lovely hotel, perfectly situated next to the harbour. Although our room was a bit small and looked out to a small yard where the laundry was kept, it was clean and modern. We didn’t try the restaurant but the bar was good and there was outdoor seating to enjoy the views out to sea. The only downside would be the prices but it was school holidays and in a prime location. Also, the car park was very small necessitating in a big cost to pay for parking in a local public car park."

"Brilliant hotel in beautiful surroundings. The whole area just feels lovely. Outside you had the maze and mature gardens with lots of areas to sit and relax. It was very peaceful and calm and very pretty. Inside there were lovely nooks and crannies to sit and chill from the library to an elegant lounge and the bar area. We had a nosy into the gym and pool area although didn't use them and they looked great too. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel and eating areas. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom which was well equipped with fluffy towels and spa body wash and shampoo. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the food we had was tasty. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel as we were out and about but it did look lovely. All the staff were very friendly and cheery and a credit to your hotel. I would 100% recommend this hotel and we hope to visit again sometime."

"A great living space- open plan and spacious, pet friendly floors and secure garden. Often in rental cottages there are a few items in the kitchen- salt and pepper, oil, washing up liquid, but here it is cleaned out, just to be warned. A new bed or mattress needed for the main bedroom, it was very uncomfortable and would deter me for a weeks stay."

"Positives: We arrived late in the evening but this wasn't a problem as we were able to check in easily ourselves. Property was very spacious, modern and clean. Wonderful views to the sea and if you are up early, you can see a fabulous sunrise. Negatives: The kitchen was quite cold and the main bedroom too warm. A light by the check in box would be useful too but if you have a phone with a light you can manage this ok."

"Very clean and had most things we needed. Bed was really comfy and the view was beautiful. Only slight issue was that the underfloor heating was quite noisy, especially at night but it didn’t really affect our stay, just took a while to get used to."
