Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancún - All Inclusive

"Good stuff- amazing and very friendly staff. The resort is clean and well maintained. lots of activities/entertainment throughout the day. No reservations required at their 4 restaurants, 1 buffet open all day long. Not so good- there’s an ocean at the back of the property, it’s not a beach lol. There’s cabana and chairs available but that’s pretty much what you can do at their beach. Water is brown (not sure why, the sea weed season was apparently already over), we attempted to go to the water but it was rocky. The resort itself is not that big so there’s not much to do unless you participate in the activities. You pretty much need to book some expensive tours for sightseeing or take an uber to nearby town like Playa de Carmen (40 mins) or Puerto Morelos (15 mins)."

"Very clean resort! The only couple downside things would be the food was hit & miss. There were also never any towels available by the pool. We had to wait until typically a couple hours later to have towels."

"Our stay was fantastic. Food and service was also really good. We had Pascuel and William at Spoons for breakfast every morning. They were awesome! Thank you for the wonderful stay. Xavier is so energetic, lovely and helpful. We actually forgot our wallet in the safe after we checked out and the staff was super helpful with getting this returned to us."

"We enjoyed staying here. We’re a quiet couple with no children around mid 30 and 40s. We read that this building was the quietest of the 3 resorts and it’s true. No loud music and annoying entertainment by the pool. Just peace and quiet. Great pool service. The roof top pool is only adults if you really dont want to see kids. Of course the big downfall is the beach. But you don’t come to Riviera Maya for the beach. It was very rocky and full of sargassum which was expected. They make up for it big time with everything else. The food was also exquisite. We already knew Mexico was renowned for its food. After staying at many other resorts in the Cancun/Playacar/Playa Mujeres area, we know Mexico’s food greatly outweighs Dominican Republic. This resort surprised us even more! The french à la carte restaurant was exquisite. We ate there twice! The beef filet was cooked as we like it medium rare. The chocolate dessert and crème brûlée were divine. We also enjoyed the Dolores food court for lunch. I had tacos at the grill every time. Delicious! The Italian restaurant was surprisingly good too! I say this because I’m Italian and I get disappointed ever time I order pasta or pizza. Theirs was actually not bad. It’s not Italy of course, but you’re in Mexico so what do you expect. But they really try their best to accommodate you. Just be nice to the servers and staff, if you need something say so kindly and tip them. They work hard!"

"Very clean resort. Friendly staff. We came as a large group and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sensira. The amenities, pools, and beach were phenomenal. Lots of fun activities for the kids. We will be back yearly."
