"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lakefront home. It was exceptionally clean and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent; he was very attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this property."

Southern Living Lake Oconee Home in a Cove!

"The host was kind and communicated well. The marina is extremely close—you can see it from the deck—which was very convenient. We also enjoyed the kayaks, and the master bed was comfortable.However, the property needs cleaning and maintenance. The exterior had a lot of algae, mold, or both on the siding and deck, making the deck slippery. Some of the railing also appeared rotten. Inside, the vaulted ceiling was noticeably dusty, and much of the furniture was worn.The nearest grocery store is more than 20 minutes away, which would have been helpful to know beforehand.Most importantly, I wish the host had provided boating safety information for Lake Oconee. We were visiting from out of town and did not know the lake contains extensive areas of submerged timber. We only learned this after seeing a sign at the marina and asking people at the boat slip. We were told to stay far from the buoys, but unfortunately stayed far away on the wrong side and hit an underwater tree, causing major damage to our boat. There is an online map showing hazardous areas, but it takes some effort to find. For a rental with a dock, a link to that map and clear warnings should be included in the check-in information.Guests are also asked not to flush toilet paper, which we found awkward and unpleasant. Overall, the location and lake access were great, but the property needs maintenance and clearer information for guests bringing boats."

Tranquil lake GET-A-WAY

"We enjoyed our stay at the lake, however there are a few disappointments. The master bedroom could definitely use two bedside tables for folks like us that have to use cpap machines etc. The dock furniture was very dirty and had an odor to them. The dock itself is in need of some repair and for several people fishing it gets a bit crowded but we made it work. The positives and there were some, the porches were lovely to hang out, the beds were comfy. Lots of room to spread out although could us a few more seating pieces in the living room. The area of the lake was superb very quiet with little to no traffic. The kids enjoyed the paddle boards. All in all a good time was had by all!! We even enjoyed watching two huge deer wondering the property that was pretty awesome. Very quiet and peaceful."

"We had an incredible stay and couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family! The house truly had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen for family meals to plenty of space to relax and spend time together. The location was perfect, with easy access to the lake for boating and a great pool and spa that everyone enjoyed. Every detail made our vacation comfortable, fun, and stress-free. If you’re looking for the perfect Lake Oconee getaway for family and friends, this is it. We would absolutely stay here again!"
