"I stay at The Orchard quite a bit for it's convenient location. Previously, location has been it's only plus point, though I am happy to say that on this occasion, everything was improved, including restaurant food quality, service throughout the hotel and ambience. "Receptionist was friendly/good manner and also let us check in free early. Great location with lots of restaurants/bars and shops. Room is clean, good hairdryer, spacious in twin bedroom. Plenty storage space. 2 chairs and 2 tables. Good quality shampoo, hair conditioner and hand washer. Nescafe coffee/decaf and Yorkshire tea bags. "

"We stayed with our grown up children for a night to catch up and relax together. The hotel is lovely and spacious and even though they had a Christmas party going on we didn't feel that we had been pushed out. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was good. There was a minor hiccup with the order but resolved with no fuss.We used the spa facilities which were all clean and working. We had to wait to use the sauna steam and jacuzzi, it was quite busy and there was no restriction on the amount time you can spend in each so some stayed in the sauna for quite a while meaning many were waiting to use it. We still enjoyed our time there nevertheless. "

"We have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting family and are always so impressed by the friendly helpful staff at reception. The hotel is always very clean and the rooms are large with an enormous bed! Breakfast is excellent too. "

"We only stayed one night as we were up to visit our pup for the first time. We had no serious negatives about the hotel with the only exception to a bit more character in the room. Our room was a spacious double, which was clean with a very large, comfortable kingsize. We did book a table in the restaurant and the food was extremely good. It is a shame it wasn’t as busy as we expected, specially as it was 5 days to Xmas. If you stay, I would recommend the restaurant. The food and service was very good. Breakfast did the trick for us! Overall, we will be staying again in mid January and if it was not that good, we would have stayed elsewhere. Worth noting, if you are at the far end of the hotel, it will be worth checking out the stairs downstairs before the main staircase as they are shortcuts to the bar and restaurant. "
