There had been no communication previously and I had to phone Vrbo to find out what was going on. I was given another property in central Nottingham which was quite frankly appalling. I was not given in advance the code or instructions to remove the parking bollard so had to pay in a car park 10 min walk away. Eventually got a call from the host with the code and...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, with a beautiful garden and plenty of room within the property. There were seven of us and didn't feel on top of each other. There are a few niggles, although I put them into the category of observations and not complaints. The bed in the 'very' large bedroom was very creaky, and is perhaps time for a new mattress. There was damp in the shower room, although it is the end of the season. There were used pots of honey on the dining table that I think should have...

"There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates....

"Helpful host. Parking is easy. Good location if you’re driving, not the best by foot. Good for our purpose"

"Very helpful owner who brought us cake! The property has everything you need for a group of friends, with 9-10 separate beds. Downside is it is bit cramped - particularly the kitchen and the narrow spiral staircase. But for the price it's great and we'll probably go again."
