"Room has lots of dust. Need to clean carpets and bed frames. Lots of dust in vertical frames. Towels and napkins missing. Room occupancy for three but third person has bench type. Need to provide clean amenities and other facilities. We book 5 rooms for large group everyone was scattered even though opposite rooms are empty."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Wyndham Grand Udaipur! The property is immaculate and beautifully designed, giving you a truly royal experience from the moment you arrive. One of the biggest highlights was the all-vegetarian dining. For vegetarian food lovers, it’s nothing short of paradise. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets offered an incredible variety of delicious dishes—easily among the best buffet spreads we’ve experienced. The staff was exceptionally warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly father’s needs, making our stay even more comfortable and memorable. We also thoroughly enjoyed the evening cultural performances, which added a wonderful local touch to each day. The hotel’s location is another major advantage—it’s conveniently close to Udaipur’s main attractions, making it the perfect place to return after a day of sightseeing to relax and enjoy a leisurely, sumptuous dinner. We’re already looking forward to visiting again. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Wyndham Grand to anyone looking for a luxurious, authentic, and memorable stay in Udaipur."

"This is a wonderful hotel in an excellent setting with great facilities and a very attentive team. 5 star service. The amravali suites are very nice. However the hotel does seem to attract quite annoying guests, the north Indian middle classes who are crude in their behaviours. They are rude to the staff, loud, the restaurant is treated like a roadside dhabba, they are in the pool fully clothed with grown adults throwing around frizzbies like it’s a children’s water park. The team were extremely patient and accommodating and did their utmost to provide an excellent service. Just the clientele that let it down."

"While the property is beautiful and well-maintained, a few aspects of the experience fell short of expectations considering the premium pricing. The food options were quite limited, and the taste seemed intentionally toned down to cater to international preferences. Ironically, many visitors come to India hoping to experience authentic Indian cuisine, flavors, culture, and hospitality. The overall dining experience, including the music and ambience, felt more aligned with international trends than with the warmth and richness of Indian hospitality. As we were celebrating our anniversary, I had expected the hotel to take note of it proactively, but I had to remind the staff to arrange a cake. Another disappointment was that all three restaurants are located indoors, with none offering lake-facing dining. Given the stunning surroundings, this felt like a missed opportunity to create a truly memorable dining experience. The pool area was also smaller than expected. While there was seating around the pool and within our suite, it did not feel particularly comfortable or practical for spending extended periods relaxing by the water. For a luxury property, one would expect thoughtfully designed lounging spaces where guests can comfortably unwind and enjoy the views. The landscaping is aesthetically pleasing, but most of the trees appear to have been planted primarily for visual appeal rather than functionality. There was very little natural shade available, making it difficult"

Moustache Udaipur Verandah

"The Verandah is excellent value in Udaipur. We booked a king size room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The views were wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was good with hot water for the shower. The restaurant was good and the breakfast including the coffee which was excellent. The location is ideal for visiting the city's key sites, many in walking distance or a short auto rickshaw drive away. It is located in an area that cars cannot access so you have to plan to use a rickshaw to reach the property. The staff were the highlight however. Pretty much everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Nimmi at reception was a particular standout. She was cheerful and helpful on every occassion. Overall highly recommend this property!"
