    THE CABIN
    This charming, rustic 3-bedroom cabin sleeps up to 6 guests across three comfortable queen bedrooms, each with its own cozy character. Two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dedicated workspace, and free driveway parking make this an easy, comfortable stay for families, groups, and remote workers alike.

    The cabin sits on over 3 acres of private land, giving you total seclusion and space to spread out. The property is perfect year-round — just as magical dusted in winter snow as it is under the summer sun.

    HISTORY
    This property is steeped in remarkable Black Hills history. The original Flume Trail — built to transport water to the gold mines of the area — runs right behind the cabin along the mountain. Walk around the front of the property along the cliff and you can still see remnants of the historic wooden structure. At the front of the property, the old railroad that operated in the late 1800s and early 1900s once passed through. History is literally at your feet.

Great cabin for my weekend trip!

Several friends and I stayed at this property and had a great time. The cabin is very clean, and we had a lot of fun using the hot tub and TVs. The view off the cliff side is great as well, and the host was easy to communicate with. We would definitely consider this option again if we end up making a future trip to the area.

Mountain getaway close to town

The location of this cabin is amazing. It's close to hiking and mountain bike trails and only 20 minutes from town. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, featuring a wrap around deck to watch the animals and just sit and relax. Communication was quick and easy. Really enjoyed our stay.

Incredible View Comfortable Seating

My husband and I stayed here as our end point on a road trip from Virginia to see Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. The house is comfortably rustic and secluded with an incredible view as you pull into the driveway! There is a hot tub outside that we really enjoyed after all the driving we've been doing. I thought the whole experience was better than expected and we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Place to Stay!

My wife and I had the best stay at Jennifer’s cabin. The cabin was very well stocked with every thing you could possibly need (bring your own wine glasses if you wanted to enjoy a glass of wine 😊). It is very clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect for us, a short drive to all the major attractions and rapid city. It was very private and quiet and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The communication was exceptional. Thanks Jennifer for everything, we hope to stay again!

Our 51st birthday celebration

From the moment we oulled up it felt like home. The cabin and property were srunning. Inside it was beyond clean and well equipped. If you forgot to bring something they made sure you had it already there! This property is secluded yet so convenient to everything! The only complaint i have is that we couldn't stay longer! And the property is very pet friendly. Cant wait to go back!

Gave me and my family the mountain cabin experience I was hoping for. Property is dated but that enhanced the experience. Good location for visiting all the local historical landmarks. Great Family Mountain Space!

We really enjoyed staying at this house nestled in the mountains. There are neighbors but where the house is situated, you forget they are there. It's quiet, relaxing, and the house was clean, nice, and comfortable. We used this as our family vacation house and it allowed all of us to spread out but still be together. Place was clean and well stocked. Hosts were very good at communicating and helpful (though honestly, we didn't need any help as it all went without a hitch, which is even better in my opinion). Would stay there again or with these hosts again.

Location location location!!

Came to attend wedding and finding this cabin was such a plus. It’s rustic and in a beautiful setting. Jennifer is attentive to your needs and so easy to work with. Do note the description clearly states stairs are involved if you have mobility issues look elsewhere. It met ALL of needs and them some and I’m 79. If we are ever back in the area I Guarantee we shall stay again.

Spring Break Family Trip

This cabin was perfect for our family of 4 for our spring break trip. Our boys (8 & 13) loved the basement bedrooms and having their own tv. It was a great location for all our day trips to Mt. Rushmore, Custer, Badlands, and more. The cabin was very clean and stocked with plenty of towels, bedding, and kitchen needs. We loved the hot tub and the views and privacy were amazing!! This is an older home that could benefit from a few upgrades to lighting and the heaters but it also adds to the coziness of the cabin. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we’d stay here again!

Not suitable for seniors

I had a hard time with the steps inside and out. The inside steps to get to the main floor were steep and very narrow. They did not have any handrails to help climb up. We were also disappointed with the condition of the deck. It was dirty and the cushions to the chairs were lying on the deck floor. There was also a hole that looked like it had burned. Before arriving I had visualized sitting on the deck and enjoying the views but that didn’t happen. I’m not sure that me and my family would stay there again.

Great way to end the sightseeing day!

Overall the house was great. After driving 13 hours it was nice to be able to relax in the hot tub and then turn in on a pretty decent bed. We visited at the end of March so the temps outside varied a lot so there wasn't much time spent outside on the property other than getting into the hot tub. The only thing I would say was a negative is that the dishwasher wasn't working. I didn't want to spend time doing dishes but sadly we had to. I am hoping that the hosts will have the problem fixed for the next renter so they don't have to deal with that. Otherwise, the place was great. The TV's all had either a Roku hooked up or they were smart TVs. Bring your log in information in case nothing is logged it but you can wind down with your favorite shows or a movie. Plenty of towels for everyone and places for everyone to relax and spread out. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. BE CAREFUL of driving at night. So many wild animals just walking around and running across the roads but so cool! The deer, turkeys, and even bighorn sheep all wander around at night.
