"Charming property but is essentially an old house so the rooms are smaller than your typical 4 star. Food was good if a little overpriced. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I’d go back again just for the peace and quiet. They and I have a pool and other facilities in an adjacent building too. Overall recommended, for a quiet and romantic retreat. "

"Amazing Victorian Gothic pile within interesting grounds with the remnants of tge abbey and old lady chapel made into a parish church. Sir Christopher Wren once owned the esrate and nemvers of hus familty memorialised there. The hotel is undergoing upgrading and offers a good standard of accommodation."

"From the moment we entered we felt very welcome, nothing could be too much trouble. From reception through to the bar the staff were attentive and amazing. The room was very clean, quality oozed from everything. It was unfortunate that our view from the room was of the car park, but who cares when you can relax in a massive comfortable bed, after showering in a beautiful clean shower with top quality toiletries. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, a good choice on the menu, and pack a punch...
