Breakfast each morning offered a plentiful selection, ensuring a great start to the day. Beyond the beautiful setting and delicious food, the hotel boasts excellent facilities. "Such a pleasant suprise, a beautiful hotel with clean rooms. Slightly dated but in condition. Gorgeous views and very friendly staff. There is also a lovely spa. Within a good distance from Lake windemere, ambleside and bowness walks (about 30 minutes). This is a beautiful and well priced spot for the south lake district exploring, highly recommend!"
