The staff were extremely friendly and nothing that you asked of them was too much. Scott and Andrew the receptionists were both helpful and friendly. Not forgetting Pete. "Had a great stay at the Royal Whitby. Wonderful views of the abbey and harbour. Easy to walk to the harbour and the abbey if you want to try the 199 steps. Lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. A stop in the Whitby tour bus outside too, which will take you to the abbey if you don't fancy the walk"
