"I had reserved a handicap accessible room. There was no accessible room available. The person manning the desk did work to at least get me a room on the first floor, but the shower situation was not user friendly for a person with mobility issues. Very disappointing."

"The room had nice decor touches and loved the kitchenette, but it was obviously an older property that had undergone a facelift. Didn’t event realize the they had an airport shuttle. No one at the front desk mentioned it. Would have loved to save that money on the Uber. Common areas are lovely and appreciated the snacks and coffee there."

"While this listing claims to have four beds, when we arrived there were no sheets for the pull-out couches. When we asked for the sheets, we were told that we would be responsible for cleaning them if given the code to the storage area. Luckily, we were coming from close by so some of our guests brought sheets but there is no reason for this to be the case. We never heard back in the Vrbo messaging system from the host but only received any response by calling the main number listed. Overall, the house was fine and as expected but it is unacceptable to not provide enough sheets for all the beds."

"Check in was flawless. This hotel has a fragrance that is so memorable and I wish I could immerse myself in it. It’s not heavy, it’s clean and iconic. Diana greeted us at check in and she was simply amazing. I had booked a king size room with at random on accident that was ADA compliant. She offered a walk in shower option that we enjoyed much more, the room overlooked the pool. We had stayed here years ago when they first opened for our anniversary and they have remained consistent in their attention to detail. We had a concert to attend and that was our reason for going to Austin. However, staying at the Fairmount is a treat, it’s an event within itself. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was perfection. This is my absolute favorite hotel and I travel often. I can’t wait to return and I know the people and the service will be just the way I fondly remember it. I miss it already! Thank you!!"
