"This is the perfect place to stay if you want the things it offers. The list includes being a small resort, limited to 20 people in 10 villas, brilliant staff who constantly go above and beyond to care for you, excellent food, and peace and quiet. This is a remote island location with no shops or alternative entertainment, but a real community feel, personal relationships with staff and guests. There are good kayaks etc to go out to see the local turtles, but just the one 2k walking track up into the hills. It is rough ground, steep in places, not suitable for running, but brilliant for working up a sweat to combat the fabulous eating every day. Loved the 5.30 meeting around the fire pit for pre-dinner drinks and canapés! We stayed 10 days - longer than most - and were ready to return to reality afterwards, but can’t recommend Elysian enough….provided you want what it offers Huge thanks to Charlton whose intervention sorted out a huge with the resort where we were originally booked."

"Wonderful hotel in a perfect position to explore Airlie beach. Easy walk into the town and across to the marina for tours. Friendly staff and lovely pool area. Highly recommend"

"Place was great! The golf carts were wonderful. The food was amazing. The staff was attentive when asked but the service could have been more personalized. We were soaked as was our luggage from a storm when checking in and the staff didn't know and or could have expedited our check in to get us warm and dry. Staff didn't remember our names but was friendly."

"Palm Bay was a beautiful location to spend our honeymoon. Staff were very friendly, so many national park trails to walk, plenty of places to snorkel and high quality food from the restaurant. We loved going out on the supplied paddle boards to check out coral or watch the sunset. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice place to relax and be in nature!"

"Hôtel de luxe méritant 6 étoiles! Accueil personnalisé à l’aéroport: serviettes fraîches, transport des valises. Établissement sans soucis: glaces à la piscine ( inclus), cocktail de bienvenue. Service aux chambres deux fois par jour. Piscine et plage privée mais seule la plage publique adjacente permet la baignade. Prévoir votre réservation de buggy à l’avance: nous n’avions pas fait de réservation et aucun buggy n’était disponible. Le gérant a réglé notre demande et nous avions un buggy quelques heures plus tard! Cet établissement est très attentionné pour ses clients et mérite un détour: une classe à part. Petit déjeuner inclus tout aussi parfait. Simplement wow …"
