"The hotel has a cute cafe and good restaurants on site. The only issues I had was the walls were dirty and the dishes looked old and worn in our room. Aside from that I would recommend this hotel."

Hotel Acta Moa- New Opening

"The hotel was fine, far from the downtown tourist area but easily accessible by transit. The big downside was that the hotel has four very tiny elevators to access rooms and amenities, and two of the four elevators were down for the entire weekend, and on the Monday that we left the hotel, all four were down. We had to carry three suitcases by hand downstairs. You can’t even take the stairs all the way up to the rooms because there is a locked door on floor five which your key card doesn’t give you access to. Ultimately we were just inconvenienced and annoyed (and sweaty!) but we couldn’t help but think how anyone who was older or disabled just…wouldn’t have been able to get to their room? The staff seemed so unbothered by the outages that I think it must be common. Nothing was offered to us to make up for the inconvenience. The room was clean and cute, the bathroom very small. The “double” was two twins pushed together but the bedding was also two twins, so we couldn’t actually properly share the bed. Wouldn’t recommend but if you just need something close to the airport and you’re able bodied, it’ll do. "

"Clean room. Nice coffee station by the lifts on each floor. Tap water tasted fine. Bed extremely comfy for me and everything was spotless. Room smelt a tiny bit of cork which is actually exactly what I want when I come to Portugal!"

"Booked “hotel” in January. Missed fine print-shared bathroom. Emailed & texted them to upgrade to a room with bathroom. Their policy was no changes & no refunds. But you never know til you ask. Waited & waited. You would think a sales organization would jump at the chance of making more money. Not this one. Waited a week then called Expedia for help. They called. They emailed. No response. Finally a week later the “hotel” & Expedia responded to me with no to the upgrade. The “hotel” say they have a 24/7 front desk. I guess they don’t staff it! Argued with Expedia this wasn’t a legitimate business. Back & forth for a week & they gave me a small credit. Arrived in Lisbon this Sunday night. Had map from Expedia website to the “hotel”. Went there. 2 very plain doors & a button. Buzzed & someone let me in. No front desk! This is an apartment building with no reception. This is a scam! Don’t book here! Fortunately I had booked another hotel for a friend. When I discovered I had been scammed I was able to stay with him. Went to Expedia’s website on Sunday - not easy to contact a live person. After an hour found a link to chat. Talked with lady giving her all the details. She was helpful & phoned the “hotel”. She says they answered. If this is true why couldn’t Expedia contact them last January? I have the map to this “hotel” from Expedia. Pictures of the run down doors, the lobby, the non-existent front desk. She couldn’t understand. Ad says EXCELLENT - NOT. Try Trivago."
