"Great breakfast, very friendly staff, very clean room. The only 2 things I would say that could improve: there was no flat sheet, and being summer time, the room was warm and too hot to sleep with the duvet, so a flat sheet was needed. The room could use some updating, toilet flush only worked after pressing several times. The window was really old and hard to open and close. Good pillows, good towels. And again, the best staff. Slightly pricey for the room you get. "

"The hotel is very well staffed and very well situated for public transport. Because I have orthopedic challenges, I found the lack of a lift to be disappointing, but that has more to do with me than with the hotel."

"Nicely set up bathroom with full size tub and hot water. Only complaint was the 2mm turn of tap difference between scalding hot and ice cold😂Not a problem for bath but dicey for shower. Corner room with 3 windows so good ventilation but a bit noisy as on the high street. Food in pub was excellent with the best Cullen Skink I've tasted"

"Great one night stay, luxury pod with everything you would need, clean and comfortable, hot tub and outdoor terrace for a lovely summer night. Very good breakfast plenty choice on menu and even a sausage for your dog. The staff were very nice thoughout our stay. Definitely recommend."

"Great price and room for the weekend. Only 3 dedicated parking spaces out front and if they're taken you have to move your vehicle every 2 hours around the square because of parking restrictions. Stairs and passages are tidy but could do with an update. Overall happy with the establishment."

"NIce hotel with free overnight on-street parking outside, which starts charging at 9am - if you get a £1 parking disk from local stores you can use to set an arrival time for the next morning which will give you til 11am and can be used widely across Northumberland. The stairs are tight, so if you have heavy luggage you may struggle. Breakfast was great and made getting up for the 10am check out worthwhile."
