The chalet accommodation was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped, and the location in the nature reserve was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent. "Was really unimpressed upon check-in to find our room was poorly cleaned upon the last guest’s checkout. The floors were filthy, the windows were dirty and smudged, there were dead bugs in the windowsills and there was even water left in the kettle and the coffee machine from the last guest. We literally had to walk around our room in shoes for the entire eight days we were there, as we wouldn’t dare walk around in bare feet even after the floors were cleaned for us. After complaining to the first front desk manager, who did nothing about the state of our room, the second front office manager was quick to rectify the situation and have our room cleaned with an apology bottle of wine provided to us. Overall the facilities and standard of the property is pretty poor and old. It looks like the two bedroom units have new bathrooms, whereas all the other one bedroom and studio apartments have old unrenovated bathrooms. The studio/one bedroom units are incredibly small and pokey with very little storage. The pool was also really old and cold! All the pool tiles were really scummy and mouldy and look like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone and especially not through Expedia as they seem to put you in the dingiest and worst room when you do an Expedia booking."
