Location was excellent, grocery store around the corner and having a well equipped kitchen was helpful. Quick walk to everywhere we wanted to go, free parking was competitive, but accessible. Once construction completes next door, it will be much better, but they only worked business hours, so it wasn’t terribly disturbing. I would stay here again on a return trip.

The room was very clean and nearby to a grocery store. Shower water pressure was great. Room 304 had everything a person needed except the kitchen was a little short on cooking utensils but we made due. The bar in the hotel next door is very nice. The location was very close to everything in Reykjavik by car. Also only a 30 minute drive to Silfra by car. The Sky lagoon is only a 10 minute drive. The area is very quiet at night. There is construction noise from the building next door but it is going on during the day and we were exploring so we didn't notice it other than when we were having our breakfast. Overall we would stay here again and were satisfied with everything.

Good: Good location, kitchen is well equipped. Nice to have laundry facility on site. Bad: there are 2 big issues with the studio apartment. 1. One side of the wall is unfinished with a big hole and live wire exposed. 2. No smoke alarm installed, the alarm equipment is sitting in the drawer in no working condition.

Property is about a 15 minute walk from downtown Reykjavik and is next door to the Bónus grocery store which was convenient. One of the outlets/extension cords was covered in a brown, sticky substance, but other than that, the property was clean. Kitchen came equipped with pots, pans, utensils, a toaster, and a kettle (though, salt, pepper, creamer, and sugar were not provided like I’ve seen at other properties). Staff was helpful but we did run into some issues regarding payment for early check in and them sending me an unpaid invoice at the end of my stay even though my stay was prepaid. Construction during the day caused some disruption, but nothing too severe.

The communication prior to our stay was excellent. Staff were quick to respond to questions and concerns which made the stay much easier. There was some confusion with the check in instructions, but the staff were quick to help us and reset codes. A housekeeper inside the building was very helpful with getting into the flat. The only thing we were confused with was the oven use, there were no instructions, and any departure instructions.

Not everything listed in the description was in the room & it was never corrected despite communicating the issue. However, I’ll give credit for quick responses even though the issue was not resolved. Although it’s not a huge deal, we did not find parking in front of the building any of the nights: we parked around the block. On the plus side, there is a Bonus grocery store next to the building & the city center is about a 15-20min walk. The surrounding area has food & gas options and is nice.

The unit's bed was a Murphy bed, which is a pull down bed stored vertically against the wall. I was not aware that was what I would be sleeping on. It is about the same as a sofa bed. Thin, hard mattress that was not very comfortable. B18's listing should make this more clear. The unit's listing also promised the use of laundry facilities. Upon arrival, no information was provided on how or where to access the laundry room. I booked this room and packed light with the expectation that I could wash clothes during my stay. After much back and forth, B18 staff told me the laundry room key was located in a key box near the unit's door but no key was there. I was not able to use the laundry room during my stay because of this. The laundry room was not even located in the building. B18 should have better information and access for advertised amenities. Also there was insufficient coffee pods in the room and they were the worse coffee pods I have ever tried. The coffee tasted like brown water. No flavor at all. The B18 staff was responsive via the Expedia app to questions and concerns and the kitchen amenities were good. There was also free parking in front of the building with a limited number of stalls that was nice. Overall, I would probably not stay here again.
