"The room was clean but on the smaller side by Australian hotel standards, and feels a little dated for the price — though being central inevitably comes with that trade-off.
As a regular Novotel guest, one thing that consistently frustrates me across the brand is the lack of consistency in breakfast. Some properties include espresso coffee, others don’t. Some have an egg station, others don’t. For a global brand with a loyal repeat guest base, standardising the breakfast offering would go a long way — travellers should know what they’re getting before they arrive.
On the plus side, the location is excellent, with a great range of restaurants within easy walking distance.
The standout issue for me, though, was the WiFi. Coverage in the room was effectively unusable — constantly dropping out. In 2026, reliable WiFi isn’t a nice-to-have; it’s as fundamental as hot water or a working television. This needs to be fixed."
