"Enjoyed staying here for a creative work trip. We got in pretty late so we were happy that check-in lasted for so long. What I didn't like was that our reservation had been cancelled even though we booked through Hotels.com and was told we wouldn't have to pay until we got to the property. Thankfully the attendant reopened the reservation for us, but it would be great if I could trust Hotels.com with my bookings instead of showing up unpleasantly surprised and almost without a place to stay when I'm hours away from my home. In the future I will confirm with the hotels directly to avoid any mishaps (as this is not the first time this has happened booking with Hotels). Otherwise the property was simple, clean, and in a convenient location."
The Promissory Hotel

"We stayed four nights at the Promissory. I appreciated that they let me check in extra early, and that they didn't charge for my son to stay on the sofa bed. The rooms are very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Excellent service from the front desk staff. The parking is close by and reasonably priced. The brunch at Suerte was tasty, but took a bit long to prepare. Lots of good places to eat within walking distance. The only negative for us was late-night noise from the alley behind Sidewinders. We're light sleepers, and we'd wake up when they throw out their trash and bottles at 2:30 am. I'd stay at the hotel again, but I'd request a different room."

"Had a great overnight stay .arrived very late after VT/Pitt game. Comfortable room, great shower, room was clean and tidy. Didn't partake in breakfast offered but it looked well stocked and fresh."
