I stayed in many hostel type places in the past. This one topped the list of the absolute worst. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here. "

"The property is something out of a dream. I have NEVER experienced something more tranquil and relaxing. The home is beautiful inside and out. When in the living room, you feel as if you are outside. My kids had the most amazing time in the pool and identifying birds, lizards, and frogs.Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a gourmet chef's fantasy. Lighting troughout is amazing. The speakers were fun for family game night.Wifi was spot on and we never had any issues with communication.Now lets get to the good stuff. Outdoor shower is phenomenal and was the perfect ending to a day at the beach.There is an outdoor gym poolside, and a legit professional gym that leaves you on an endorphin high. This gym is well planned out, clean, huge, and honestly, would make any professional gym owner envious. IFinally, we purchased the driver package, and daily breakfast and traditional Honduran meal package.The driver, Abraham is very informative, kind, and dependable.I saved the most important tidbit of information for last. Please dont cheat yourself. Spend the extra money to have Lariza cook for you. Each and every breakfast was different and phenomenal. The Honduran meal had everyone in awe. But better than her cooking, is her kind and giving spirit. She engaged with all of my children and even allowed my 9 year old daughter to help with meal prep and feeding Long John. She is a gem. I just cannot explain in words how perfect and gentle she was. We love her!"

"My 14 year old daughter and I loved our stay at the Bamboo Apartment. Miriam and everyone else working at the Santuary is extremely kind and helpful. The grounds and views from the beach are gorgeous, and you can snorkel right off the shore. The Sanctuary is a peaceful, beautiful refuge away from most of the resorts and tourists. For us, it was a perfect home base from which to explore the island. Keep in mind that Sandy Bay is a public, if quiet, less popular beach. You will find trash on the sand and cars and motorcycles drive up on the beach. You will also encounter poverty when you leave the Sanctuary property, and throughout Roatan unless you remain in strictly tourist areas (such as West Bay, from what I hear). It's hard to "

"Beautiful inside and out. Sunsets were unbelievable, especially from the top deck. You are steps from the water. Kitchen was very nice, bed was comfortable and the views amazing. Owner Conrad was great and property manager Dwyne was wonderful. What an incredible place on an incredible island. Thank you for the memories!"
"We had an amazing time at the Blue Bahia during our honeymoon. It was both secluded and in a great location to get to other parts of the island. The restaurant on site allowed us to add to our tab and had amazing food, it felt as though we could get a drink or food anytime we wanted. Extremely kind and attentive staff. There were a few other locations for food near by that were walkable. Every day the host recommended activities that were great! Absolutely amazing trip and we couldn’t be happier. We don’t dive but would highly recommend for divers as dive shop onsite!"

"Our vacation started off unexpectedly as we had two separate issues with our flight that delayed us into Roatan by 2 days. That didn’t matter at all as Suzanne was so very gracious and allowed us to shift our dates on the spot to allow us to stay at the beautiful Casa Cowie Tree House for the same amount of nights. Suzanne and Jose are WONDERFUL! Their communication ahead of the stay and especially as we went through a terrible experience with our flight, went above and beyond. Now for the beautiful Casa Cowie property. We enjoyed every moment in this beautiful place. It is rustic and modern and amazing. Tucked into enough of the trees to get a jungle feel while being right on the water with amazing sunset and morning views. We even had dolphin shows available to us throughout the day from Anthony’s Key Resort!The location on Sandy Bay is quiet and beautiful and within walking distance of the amazing Spa Ban Suert and the Sunken Fish, our new favorite restaurant on the island….for now. :)In almost 11 years of marriage this was our fist chance at a honeymoon and the Casa Cowie Tree House along with the graciousness of Suzanne and Jose combined of course with the beauty of this island and kindness of its people made for a perfect second visit. We are already putting together the list of things to do for our next visit!"

"The property was amazing, great view of the beach, bed was comfortable, kitchen and outside grill was nice to make meals. Restaurants were nearby so we didn’t cook much though. Our host was super nice, accommodating, and Jose was awesome. He was Johnny on the spot for anything we needed. He was great, can’t say enough good things about him in this summary. The only slight issue if you call it that was the amount of people walking nearby to access the beach. Some of them were pretty loud. Other than that it was a great vacation spot. "
