"Beautiful property and breathtaking views, but the overall service was disappointing and not what I would expect given the rate we paid per night. 1) Basic amenities were repeatedly missing. Hand soap and body lotion were not provided at check-in. Despite requesting body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and lotion multiple times from different staff, they were not replenished. One evening at 10pm, there was still no body wash for three guests. 2) Wi-Fi did not work. We were given 2–3...

"The Casa Del Chiodo was the perfect Tuscan B&B experience for us. From the moment Marco greeted us to the amazing multiple course evening meal that owner/chef Paola prepared to the breakfast served by Irene, it was the epitome of Italian hospitality. While the evening meal was extra, it was definitely worth it as it showcased local farm grown and hunted/gathered foods (such as mushrooms, venison and roasted chestnuts). Our room was clean, true to historical construction with modern amenities....

"We stayed here for three nights and had an incredible experience. The room was clean, offered a beautiful view, and had reliable Wi-Fi. The location is perfect for exploring, only an hour's drive to Montalcino and incredibly close to several fantastic wineries. The restaurant itself is absolutely fantastic: The panoramic views are amazing, the food is to die for (home cooking style), and the wine selection is excellent. Laura, her husband, and their son, Leonardo, are wonderful, welcoming...

"It was a very pleasant stay, a warm welcome. A beautiful location surrounded by nature."

"One other guest we meet called it the hotel from hell, which somes it up properly. A very strange vibe in this hotel a cross between a murder mystery hotel and a soviet area spa. The staff need to learn how to smile and serve it's customers properly, only the breakfast lady was great. Hotel difficult to get to required 10 km detour, wifi available but without internet access!!!! Had to pay 30 euros per person per day to access the pools. The on-site restaurant was horrible and staff useless....

"From the moment we arrived to the time we left was excellent, the staff, the room, Breakfast, and pool were all very good, we reserved a table with them in the evening of which was also a lovely experience, on the whole its a lovely and most relaxing place to be. we definitely will return."

"Unfortunately, our third night at this hotel completely changed our experience for the worse. We were staying in Room 16, and the guests in the room next door, Room 14, were talking extremely loudly, laughing, and shouting continuously until around 4:00 AM. The noise made it practically impossible for us to sleep. We tried calling the hotel’s after-hours number 4–5 times during the night, hoping someone could intervene, but nobody answered. This was extremely frustrating. If an after-hours...

"La ubicación estaba excelente, todo cerca caminando y con estacionamiento (costo), el personal fue muy amable, lo recomendamos."

"Buen hotel. La persona de la recepción fue muy amable, hablaba español y me explicó muy bien los servicios del hotel. La cama estuvo muy cómoda y el desayuno excelente. Sin duda, regresaré."

"Michele and Sara are awesome. Michele greeted us and got us settled in. He provided local information on things to see, do and places to eat. We were extremely happy with our room. It was unique and well appointed. They had a small tray with biscotti and an Italian liquor waiting for us. Shower was hot. Bathroom great and well lit. Bed was very comfortable and the best pillows I had found in Italy. It is located in a centuries old palace. The room had some of the original stone exposed which...

"Excellent staff"

"Overall a great stay! A bit off the core sights we were seeing. We stayed Oct 2026. It was still warm during the day and cool at night though the AC was already turned to heat. Pool is not heated so likely amazing in summer but was a bit cold for us, Hottub and Sauna for rent. The food service was great, very tasting and welcoming staff. Place was very clean and there’s only 10 rooms or 25 guests max which is great! During the week there was low occupancy and instead of buffet they served a...

"All Team members @ this Hotel were welcoming, professional & friendly. The Hotel has a restaurant on-site that provides you with a wonderful dining experience. We got upgraded on our arrival which was such a wonderful perk. Thank you to Palazzo Saloni & Montalcino for the wonderful memories!"
