"Unfortunately didn't check in until late due to getting a little lost. Was able to take a quick dip in the beautiful pool before thunderstorm rolled in and went to bed early for our flight. Woke to birds singing and left. So didn't get to enjoy the lovely yard and pool as much as I wanted. "

"We really enjoyed our stay in Casa del Sol. We stayed for six weeks in March/April 2025. Klaas and Sandra, the property managers, made the check-in and check-out seamless. Isabel was friendly and very through; she keeps the inside of the house clean and organized. The pool cleaning crew, Wendy and Erick were great, and kind enough to let us practice our Spanish with them. Hats off to Alfonso and his gardening team. They do an impeccable job of maintain the gardens; the gardens are a true highlight of the property. The house is large and has a very convenient lay-out. She shows her age but still maintains her charm. The vistas are breathtaking. The beds are comfortable! Bonuses for us were having a gas stove, a bbq, and a deep pool – deep enough for cannonballs! The location is convenient being between Atenas and Grecia with easy access to the main highway Ruta 1. We highly recommend Casa del Sol! Thank you for a lovely stay."

"La Terraza Guest House is a beautiful property surrounded by beautiful foliage in a park like setting. It is in a serene setting where all you'll hear are the songs of the beautiful birds in the morning. There is a hot full breakfast ready every morning to get your day started, along with a fruit smoothie, coffee and tea. If you love seeing hummingbirds, you will get an eyeful. There is a river that runs through the property and if you love the sound of flowing water, this is for you! It is only about 10 minutes to get to downtown Grecia where there are restaurants and coffee shops, ice-cream shops, a beautiful central park, and many other types of shops, including banks. The owner was extremely hospitable, along with the host and the other employees who were friendly and warm. The owner and host will assist with setting up excursions and can make recommendations on where to go for day trips. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this establishment."

"We had a great stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was very gracious in allowing us to hold a small family gathering for a couple of hours in loving memory of my dad, which meant a lot to us. Her kindness and flexibility made our experience even better. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Here are some the pros: nice location on a residential street, easy access to downtown if you walk (about seven blocks away), nice shower head, big bed (but I found mattress uncomfortable so was glad I brought a memory foam mattress topper with me), owner was always responsive and very nice. Cons: no one was there to greet me when I arrived (had to wait 20 min), leaking roof in several rooms (they sent someone to repair but it was not completely fixed), outdoor furniture was all broken and when I complained it was replaced by owner's family with a plastic chair which wasn't that comfortable for a 6-week stay, lots of leaf cutter ants in backyard that bite (have to watch your dogs and children), can't use front yard at all because it belongs to family member but you have to watch that their dog doesn't get out when you open the gate since their dog has access to your driveway, furniture in general was not that comfortable. It looks nice but it was really hard on my back. Also, when it rains the open roof garden section in living room gets about 2 ft of the tile wet all around it. So you're constantly wiping up rain on the tile. As previous poster stated, house needs some repairs and upgrades. It served my needs for 6 weeks but it wasn't what I was expecting. I wish I could have spent more time outdoors but the outdoor furniture was just not conducive to doing that.responsive"
