Hotel is good, clean and comfortable. We arrived early- about noon and rooms weren't ready. Completely understandable- my only issue was the person at the counter didn't seem to be trying to help the situation or at least make me feel that it was ok for me to be there. Perhaps they are understaffed as everyone is now- and we were way early. but even at 4pm which is when we got our rooms, (and their check in time), the staff were struggling to finish rooms. Very clean, updated rooms and pleasant staff. Definitely a hidden gem. Central of a Walmart and many other restaurants and shopping.

Came in late and got up early, but the staff was very nice, the rooms were clean and the beds were good, so it was good for the night. The tv was a little better than most hotels in this range. I would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed at the "sister property" (the O'Henry) several times but had not stayed at the Proximity. We tried but COVID or one thing or another led to not making our trip. We had met the original owners and then knew about their transfer to the employees. What a terrific thing for an employer to do and what a great deal for the employees. I use to live in Greensboro for many many years and always thought this looked like a fun place to stay. I have eaten at the green valley grill but had never had the pleasure of staying at the o’Henry. I was in town for a night decided to stay here. The hotel is gorgeous. The room is spacious! It is very elegant and classy..reminiscent of “old money”. I would stay again if ever given the opportunity

The staff was over the top! Great welcome, got a late checkout, made great restaurant recommendations, room was awesome, bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was spotless, and the refrigerator ice maker was great for fixing cocktails. I am excited to return!

Had an excellent stay and experience! Everything was awesome from check-in to check out. Nice property, excellent breakfast, room was better than expected and staff was friendly and helpful!

Didn’t realize when I booked but the location had a complementary wine tasting. Everyone who went to it was sooo personable. Normally not my scene, but everyone was so welcoming. Great breakfast spread too. The area is very walkable. I took a nearby path and ended up at Salem College very close by. It is America’s oldest women’s college dating back to colonial times. Many of the buildings look that old, but are very well kept. Just a beautiful experience all around. Clean rooms too!

The hotel is three minutes from the university. Front desk clerk was very friendly, room was nice, breakfast was delicious and they had grab and go energy bags if you don't have time to eat breakfast, good movies on tv, ear plugs in the room for the train because the train track is close to the hotel(we didn't need them). Overall great stay. We will definitely stay there again.
