Heidi welcomed us with the best banana bread I’ve ever had and Gary ensured we could brave the snow by clearing the parking lot for us. It was the perfect getaway. "We had a wonderful stay in this house! It was clean, well-stocked (they've thought of just about everything you might need), and very convenient for the Porcupine Mountains State Park. Getting there was easy, and the instructions were clear. If you're looking for "fancy" accommodations, you really won't find them in this area - keep in mind that these are simple houses originally built to house miners and their families. But if you want comfort and convenience, this definitely fits the bill.The hot tub was great! One thing that guests should know is that it takes a long time to heat up from the default temperature. Make sure to read the instructions (in the House Manual, but also available online), and let it heat up at least overnight with the cover on top. Believe me, it's worth it!"
