Loved the hotel. The location is across from the Tiber River, very close to a walking bridge into Vatican City. The room was great, breakfast was fine, everything except no eggs, but lovely bakery products and yogurt. The staff were all wonderful. One of our favourite hotels ever.

Perfect location in Rome to stay, central to all major historical sites. We walked everywhere and felt very safe. There are numerous restaurants located close to the Hotel for lunch or dinner. The hotel has the best staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with freshly made pastries, eggs, meats, cheese and fruit. I can't say enough for Augustana House! It was outstanding--from the staff (welcoming, friendly, most helpful), to the location (a 15-20 minute walk from many/most attractions and away from the crowds), to the cleanliness, condition and comfort of the room (the bed and shower were excellent and the bedding and towels were upscale). The breakfast buffet was very good with eggs, cereal, breads, meats and cheeses, fruit and various pasteries. This was the best hotel I've had in Rome when on a personal trip and it's a very good value. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
