Very nice , the room was clean and comfortable , and an easy walking distance to all the major attractions and train station . Lots of little restaurants nearby to choose from. I would absolutely stay there in the future.

Hotel Artorius was lovely and very affordable. The room was clean and spacious. The bathrooms were accommodating. I definitely would recommend staying there if looking for a great location without four or five star hotel budget.

We stayed at this property for one night due to a cancelled flight. Room and bathroom are small and not updated and bed not comfortable. Staff was nice. There are nice restaurants within walking distance. I would probably not stay there again.

we had a great stay! it was in a quite area with great access to a grocery store, dining options, and public transportation. although an old property it was clean, the bed was great, the bathroom was nice, and everything worked. there was a bit of malfunction with a set of automatic doors but they were very attentive in easily resetting and getting us through.

Hotel centrally located

This hotel was a half mile from the Colosseum. There was plenty of restaurants around us. We walked everywhere in Rome.

Best location

You cant beat the location...you can literally see parts of the Colosseum from the doorsteps of the hotel. Lots of eateries around this neighborhood. Several mini marts to buy your drinks for the room. The room itself is basic and outdated BUT we were only in there long enough to shower and sleep .

Amazing experience in Rome. Perfect location in a charming neighborhood full of narrow streets and cozy restaurants. We walked everywhere — only 8 minutes to the Colosseum, 15–20 to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, around 40–50 to the Vatican. There’s a small market right on the street, which was super helpful for grabbing snacks and drinks. There’s also a public water fountain just around the corner where we could refill our bottles. The hotel was beautiful, super clean, and full of nice little details. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved that they gave us a key so we could come back anytime, even after the main door closed. The closed entrance made us feel really safe.

A very friendly staff and right in the middle of Rome’s tourist attraction. 1.5 miles/30 minutes walking to the Borghese Gallery, .8 miles/20 minutes walking to railway station, .5 miles/10 minutes walking to the Colosseum and 2.5 miles/1 hour walking to Vatican City. Lots of eating establishments close by and we would choose to stay here again.

Our 4 night stay was very disappointing. The double room photo on both Expedia and the hotels own website is misleading. There is only one photograph of a double room and It clearly shows an outdoor seating area, one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Our room was on the front with a standard window. They told us that only 2/10 rooms actually had the outside seating. The hotel also does not post room size in sq.m. The photos posted made the room appear much more spacious than ours actually seemed. The room itself was clean, recently renovated and comfortable enough except for the ( sagging) bed and the cramped space. The bathroom was good. There really are no amenities. There was a mini bar, but it was not fully stocked or maintained. Reception availability was part-time. The hotel does not provide breakfast, there is no coffee service and although there are many restaurants in the area, it is a several blocks to find coffee or breakfast in the morning. WiFi was a total disaster. We seldom had connection in our room, and regularly has to sit in the hotel stairway to have adequate connection. Our one attempt to have the hotel book a taxi was met with both a lack of enthusiasm and lack of confidence that we would actually get one. The hotel was not able to provide information on nearby taxi stands, even though we found one a few blocks away on Nationale. Toiletries…bring your own..two small bottles for 4 nights. There are so many better choices that Artorius.
