"It's all about location. It's best to be in the mountains at sunrise and sunset. They have improved a few rooms. The beds are comfortable and pillows too. Place is clean and maintained. The grounds are very nice but.....I guess the park department doesn't care about the view. Don't ask for a room with a view because they only have 2 or 3. They trees have grown so much they have no view of the valley. Total shame. The price is so much better from Expedia.....the park service site wants more than double the price. I'll never go thru the park department again."

"We didn’t receive full check-in instructions prior to arriving and the WiFi network and password that was visible in the messages we did have were outdated which meant we had to turn back and drive a while to get cell signal and call the host. After check-in the place was great for a couple night stay for my wife and I and our dogs. I’d definitely recommend the place except for the check in experience."

"There were wasps and hornets living in nests on the porch. We used wasp killer from the local Food Lion. Rustic is a good word. Needed cleaned. The hot tub and secluded nature was good.Overall okay weekend."

"Loved our stay! The house was beautiful with a wonderful Mountain View. The host is extremely responsive and very helpful. My only note would be that the drive to Shenandoah is much farther than it looks based on the map location of the house, but there is an accessible path for hike access."

"Highly unusual property in a good way! One with nature, clean, well equipped, even internet in the middle of the forest! Kitchen is well stocked with pots, utensils, the quality of linen is excellent. Communications are perfect, to the point and precise. The informational booklet in the house has everything you need to know. The only suggestion I would have is about which part of the old rag trail you take from.. It is not the entrance from Nethers. Overall could not be better! Thank you Jim"

"This home has everything you'd need for a relaxing, comfortable stay. We enjoyed our slow mornings on the deck with coffee and mountain views, the afternoon sunshine, hiking trails. Home is clean and the hosts have thought of everything needed to make guests feel welcome. Location is excellent for day trips out to see the sights. "
