"We stayed for one night at Skyland in the Shenandoah National Park on a recent visit to Virginia. We booked a ‘Traditional Room with 2 Queen beds’. The room was lodge style with a small terrace. Check-in was easy and we were able to park outside our room. The amenities and the room are basic and ‘tired’, but as expected. The beds were comfortable but the quality of the bedding was best described as ‘old’. The room had a musty smell but appeared clean. Although there was wifi it wasn’t really usable. We had breakfast in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. The hotel, although basic and not cheap, is in a great location. We enjoyed walking the Stony Man route to watch a beautiful sunset and then hiking a few other routes to enjoy the beauty of the National Park. "

"Super cute, bright, and colorful cottage, with a lovely view. The cottage was clean, with plenty of space to relax, and the kitchen has everything you need. The host's communication was fantastic, and the check-in process was easy. I would definitely recommend this Vrbo."

"It was better than my expectations! The cabin is cozy yet roomy. All modern amenities. It's literally on the side of a mountain with a babbling brook so close you can hear it from the deck. The kiddos climbed down the creek and onto the many huge boulders that lie about. The treehouse is a blast! And the privacy... No one nearby. This place is fantastic! Truly!"

"This place was PERFECT for what we needed. Spacious, comfortable, easy to navigate. From the house we saw deer, cows, birds, and a cat - and no neighbors (though I'm sure they are all very nice). We didn't spend a ton of time in the house, since our stay revolved around hiking in Shenandoah Nat'l Park. From the house to the Thornton Gap Entrance Station, the drive was a picturesque 15 minutes. When we got back from a long day of hiking in the mountains, this house was exactly the kind of respite we needed. We were comfortable, everything was exactly as promised/described, and the host was exceptionally responsive to any questions we (overplanners) had. If we were to visit Shenandoah again - and I truly hope we do - we will be re-booking here. It was fantastic."

"We had a nice stay here. The space overall was comfortable, and we would stay again. The host was super fast to respond to questions. The beds were decently comfortable, the furniture was in good condition, and the view was AMAZING. The space was good for kids. I was worried about the roads, and while the driveway was steep and we didn't chance it, there was a small lot right above the house that was fine for parking. A couple of small changes would have added an extra star: the cookware was very scratched/cheap nonstick, which I don't like cooking for kids in. The cupboards were pretty dirty inside with spilled food and dust and had old open food boxes that were spoiled. I had to clean it myself before putting our food away. The main living area gets super sunny in the evening (beautiful sunsets!) but it's really intense - some blinds or curtains on the rest of the windows would help a lot. These were all little things though, and like I said, we had a nice time and would stay again. "
