"We had a large room with a wonderful view of the winding river and beyond. Staff excellent; friendly and extremely helpful. Food was good altough the dining room was a bilt lacking in character. Very good location."

"Fabulous hotel in a beautiful setting and grounds. A little on the pricey side but worth it to mark or celebrate a special occasion. A good base from which to go out exploring, or to take in a round of golf right there on the doorstep. Would recommend and indeed return."

"First impression when checking in at the bar was a bit dull and dreary. The rooms are small but quite adequate with a comfy bed, good shower. We ate in the bar area which is actually fine, the food was excellent. There are a few locals who frequent the bar. Car parking onsite £5. Staff are nice snd friendly. Lovely patio area with table, chairs if staying in the summer. Check out is too early at 10.00am could do with another hour in the morning. Would probably stay again if in the area."

"excellent weekend retreat for my anniversary with my wife. Made even more special by the hotels Personal touches. Like an anniversary pudding with our evening meal. Spa facilities were great. Room was comfy and clean. All staff were very attentive. Great place to stay and a great location."
