"Overall, the room was great however I would like to suggest the there should always be an an accessible outlet on each side of the bed along with a bedside table. This room did not have either option on the left side so I needed to move the metal small table next to the couch and stretch my phone charger cord under the mattress by the headboard. It worked but was not the best experience. Hope this helps for the future."

"Room was good location with a nice view of Huron. Property was well maintained. The room had everything needed for our two nite stay. Biggest issue we had was the mattress needing to be replaced because the mattress is settling on most used side. Also the bed is too high off the floor requires step stool to get in. We did eat at the restaurant and service was lousy."

"Staff was wonderful. View from our room was great. They had smores and a camp fire in the evening. Only downfall was we were hoping for a sand beach and it is all rocks. It was very pretty though. Bring a kite to fly, or football to throw. There is so much open green space between the building and water for the kids to run and play."

Pine Cottage Bed & Breakfast

"We had a great time using the Pine Cottage as our 'home base' on the island, and the hosts and staff we truly lovely people. The room was bright and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well, though the design of the ensuite room did have some downsides. First, electrical outlets in the room were reasonable in number, but a bit difficult to access (especially for a CPAP machine that needs to be near the bed). Next, the floor above us really projected the volume of people walking (sounded like stomping), which meant surprisingly loud noises at all hours above our heads. Lastly, the bathroom was underwhelming, from the very small (and quite low) toilet, to the very tiny shower stall, to the very unlevel sink and wall shelf. These small things are certainly not sufficient to prevent us from coming back (maybe a different room would be better, though our SW corner room had a great view), but were a bit surprising to us. Granted these likely come with the age of the property, and it was our first time staying on the island (which is great). The breakfasts were lovely and fresh, and the staff were gracious about helping to prepare alternative options due to food allergies. The lobby and porch areas were clean and inviting. We would not hesitate recommending this property to others, even with these small inconveniences, and are grateful we stayed for three nights."
