Ko'a Kea Resort on Po'ipu Beach

"The Koa’Kea was perfect! We’re not typically “resort people,” so we chose Koa’Kea because we loved the idea of a smaller, boutique hotel—and it ended up being exactly what we were looking for. We ate at both the pool bar and the sushi bar and were so impressed with the food and drinks. The staff was also wonderful and helped us with every request (and I feel like I asked a lot of questions!). Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating. We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!"

"We were disappointed that the air conditioner was broken and we had a few window units. They were noisy and not very efficient. We got the note about the AC almost a month before our stay. Seems like they had time to fix it… We were told there was no pack n play for the toddler that was traveling with us and was sent a link to rent it??? That is one thing that absolutely should be provided by the property. So we stopped on the way from the airport to purchase one which was cheaper than renting one from the link. When we arrived there we found…a pack n play in one of the closets. Nice, but took valuable time both purchasing and returning ours. Frustrating. Great location, close to wonderful beaches, turtles and seals! There was a closet at the property that was SO helpful, it had a cooler, beach chairs and umbrellas, sand toys and goggles. We were very grateful for these and got lots of use out of them."

"The Nene Nest was amazing! We have never stayed on this part of the island but wanted to be close to Waimea Canyon to make it up to the viewpoints early in the morning. We could not have been in a better location for that but I wasn't expecting to fall so hard for Kekaha and the cute little towns right around it. On previous day trips to the South shore, we missed so much of the Hawaiian charm and peacefulness of this area. The cottage itself was beyond wonderful! Endless character, everything was clean, kitchen very well stocked, beds comfortable and AC in the bedrooms was a real plus. I will especially miss family mornings at the Nene nest...the sun shining through the windows, chickens saying hello, breakfast on the lanai in our private garden. Perfection!"
