The shore line is still being worked on, but it was still nice and had hammocks and chairs near it. The pool bar was great. Danny was our favorite bartender. The food was good as well. Our favorite meals were at Manicato and Yucca. The rooms were nice. The service was a little slow at times, but the people were friendly and apologetic. A few things were wrong- wrong room, fan was noisy, dark curtains wouldn’t close, but, overall, it was nice! I can see it being a popular place in the future once everything is up and running (slides, teen club, pickleball courts, Azure restaurant and pool). "

"My family and I visited the Dominican Republic for the first time and stayed at Secrets Playa Esmeralda. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and beautiful tropical views. From the blue ocean and mountain landscape. Just WOW! My family and I decided to upgrade to  Preferred Club, and the attention from every member of the staff was excellent. It truly elevated our experience. But there was one person, in particular, who made our trip extra special, Stephanie. She was incredible. She was so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. She was always making sure everything was right for me and my family. What made her stand out was how genuine she was and the care and love she poured into everything she did. It never felt like it was part of her job to go above and beyond for us. It felt like it came straight from her heart. She truly made us feel at home, and she made sure that our first time in the Dominican Republic would be nothing short of AMAZING. Her great energy, beautiful personality, and sincere dedication left a forever impression on my entire family. Thank you, Stephanie, for making this trip so special and memorable. We are so grateful to have met someone so wonderful, and my family and I are looking forward to returning back at Secrest Playa Esmeralda. What a great resort this is. Highly recommend it! "
