"A really good hostel just outside the main city of Bergen but a short walk away to bus transport and also a small Bunnpris shop for food items, etc. Was perfect for my weekend in the area, especially with even being close to the Ulriken mountain tram/path to the summit - staff were helpful with check in/out, plus the shared female dorm room I stayed in was comfortable and with a good toilet/shower room and bunkbeds.

"We chose to stay at Breeze because of its location (walking distance to train station, town centre, etc), very short notice booking (so not many other suitable options), head-height (I didn’t want to sleep under a sloping roof like loft accommodation in some airbnbs) and also lower cost. On reflection, we more than spent what we had saved on food and drink, which could have been considerably cheaper if we’d had amenities like a fridge, kettle and microwave. But it advertises itself truly, so for what it was, it was quite good."
"My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use and it is stolen, the hotel will call us foolish for leaving it unguarded. I have travelled to 6 continents and I had NEVER previously been in the position where I had to argue/fight with other hotel guests over the right to sit at a table where I had already been seated!! This is a disgusting way for guests to be treated. It doesn't matter that one hour at breakfast might be busier than others, a hotel should still have an adequate number of tables. My advice to people heading for Bergen is to book inn at the Radisson or any other hotel rather than Scandic."
"It was unfortunate that the room that was given to us had deficiencies.
The small refrigerator was not working and the wash sink was not draining properly, it literally took 5 minutes to drain. I went down to the lobby to inform them about these. Housekeeping lady came in to check but didn’t say anything on how to resolve the issues. After an hour I went back to follow up but they couldn’t do anything to fix it. We wanted to check out and go to another Hotel but time was not on our side, so we stayed on. Morning after, I spoke to Front Desk (Tiril), she wasn’t aware of the issues, as nothing was communicated. She apologized for the inconvenience and gave us an upgraded room. It is disappointing that a room was given to a guest having with known issues. Poor communication between departments and to the GM."
