We had a lovely time while staying in the Embarben Maison d'hotes. The staff was very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfasts were very tastie and fulfilling. We had a dinner as well which was delicious and home made. The owners were very helpful in directing us to the local points of interest. The possibility of check-in in the middle of the night was a bonus. The hotel in itself is beautiful with a charming character.
We recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at this incredible place, and it was nothing short of a dream come true. From the moment we stepped foot into this enchanting haven, we were swept away by its charm and warmth.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the deliciously prepared dinners. Each dish was amazing, bearing the unmistakable taste of Provence, France. It was evident that every element was crafted with loving hands and an unwavering attention to detail.
Saint Chamas, the lovely town that cradles this gem, added an extra layer of magic to our experience. Its quaint streets, nestled along the shimmering waters, exuded an old-world charm that transported us to a different time.
The hospitality we received was beyond compare. Martin went above and beyond to ensure that our every need was met, and no request was deemed too extravagant. The genuine care and attention made us feel like cherished guests, rather than mere visitors.
Our room was a sanctuary of comfort and tradition. It felt as though we were living in a museum, surrounded by an array of exquisite antiques that told stories of eras gone by. The atmosphere was so rich with history that we couldn't help but be captivated by its allure.
The gardens were a testament to natural beauty. Towering oak trees provided a canopy of serenity, while the entrance welcomed us with open arms.
We will certainly return.

My daughter and I loved the history, serenity, and kindness we felt from staying at this beautiful property. Especially after being in two very busy cities. The owners of this beautifully built 300 year old, French Provincial style (and decorated) home, are welcoming and lovely people. Claude does all the cooking…he’s an excellent chef, Michelle runs the house. Their youngest son, lives on the property is an English speaking French father who works at this beautiful hotel and is also into improving the tourism in Saint Chamas by teaching tourism classes. The area is beautiful, the vin divine and the history of the area amazingly diverse. If you are driving through the south of France, don’t miss this this gem of a village.
