"The hotel desk employee was very helpful and booked a taxi for me. My flight (first of three flights) had been cancelled, and then I had to leave earlier than expected. Unfortunately, I could not stay for breakfast. "The one thing we found that was slightly off-putting was that the photos on-line are designed to make the hotel look new, modern and spacious, when in fact it's a beautifully restored older building with smaller bedrooms, tiny elevators, and lovely winding staircases. There's enough modern hotels go around. Please brag about this lovely unique hotel on the waterfront of the Aussen-Alster See."

"After a crazy night out we were woken up by one of the staff members knocking our door and offering us water, unquestionably due to the fact that we were piss-drunk when we arrived a couple of hours earlier. In addition to taking good care of two hungover lads, they let us sleep way past the actual checkout time. Overall: Great service."
