"We loved our stay. The home was perfect for us and we ere able to walk everywhere. Traditional French workers cottage immaculate. It sleeps 6 but that wouldn’t b advisable as the space would.not be sufficient. The headspace going upstairs is low for those tall boys and the shower won’t hold two! It’s small but so is the space. Perfectly appointed. The owner so kind and accommodating. The online ad is run by their child so you have to communicate directly with the owner over the phone. 📞 old...

"We had a fantastic stay. The property was well appointed and looked after. Beautiful well-kept gardens, BBQ and the swimming pool is just perfect. Large, clean and secluded. Wouldn't hesitate in returning!"

"The property is very much as listed and we had a lovely 2 week stay. Swimming pool was used every day and the fussball table was also a hit with everyone. It was lovely to be tucked away with complete privacy despite being in a little village with neighbours. Overall everyone had a great time."

"The place is hidden in Perigord, between the rivers Lot and Dordogne--which in summer is perfect to go swimming, canoeing, hiking in the area. There are culinary gems in Goujounac or Villefranche-du-Périgord--if you ask the locals. Be advised, though, that you need to travel considerable distances to get to places of interest. The place itself is kept in good condition, except for maybe a musty smell and an assorted mix of silverware and tableware, which seemed a bit thrown together."

"We have thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at Gite Garde. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly welcome and spotless gite make it easy to unwind. The pool is the perfect place to soak up the sun. Thank you to Jo and Jim for being great hosts - available when needed but never invasive and great company to share some wine with on a beautiful evening."

"After reading the reviews we decided to take a punt and book the holiday. I’m so glad we did! All the reviews (good and bad) are spot on. The property is ‘rustic’. There are no frills but the layout of the house was perfect for 2 families and it is spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. We all forgot towels and Lucie was at the door before I had even signed off. "

"The property is lovely. It had everything you could possibly want including games , books, bbq along with, every conceivable kitchen utensil. The owners provided very detailed instructions as to how to get there,how to get in, how to operate the appliances. It was brilliant. The property is in a gorgeous little village just a few metres along the road. We were also able to use the local campsite facilities too which was lovely."
