"Liked the nearby bus connections and location walkable to Old City. Taxi stand just outside too. Breakfast was great with splendid courtyard. Luggage storage and available tea/coffee in common area opening to courtyard was convenient. Room AC was good; noticeable temperature changes between hall and other non AC spaces. We upgraded to balcony and there are some views of the tops of the mountains and building. We didn’t have much time to enjoy it though."

"Cloud One, formally Hyperion, from arrival to departure we were well looked after. Staff positive and friendly throughout the hotel: reception, breakfast, concierge, bar. Modern clean hotel, able to set the temperature in the room and bathroom to different temperatures to suit. Mini bar was well stocked. Even some board games to help pass the time if needed. Buffet breakfast was well stocked and cooked your eggs to order, from breads, meats, fruits and to cooked food. A secure luggage room should you arrive early."

"We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was clean and tidy; the staff were very friendly; our room had everything we needed; the shower was particularly good; there was plenty of very nice food at breakfast. We liked very much that the hotel gives a €5 voucher for any day you don’t have your room cleaned. This could then be spent in the bar or restaurant - what a great idea! The hotel is in a good location, handy for trains and many bus lines. Our room overlooked the street which was a bit noisy with the windows open; but once they were shut we couldn’t hear anything. The extra tax that the city charges (currently 50c per person per night) to then provide a Guest Mobility ticket was fabulous. We got the train to Werfen and Zell am See; the bus to Bad Ischl and Hellbrunn Palace; and various buses and trams round the city and it cost us nothing at all with our Guest Mobility ticket. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone planning to visit Salzburg."

"We like everything from the buffet breakfast, cleanliness of the room and good amenities. It is walkable to the train station but hard if you have luggages. Need to take a taxi instead. Other than that it’s a good place to stay."

"Absolutely lovely room in an extremely walkable location. Beware that there are some people who may be experiencing homelessness around the church across the street in the evening hours. The check in process proved to be a bit difficult as I had paid, but the system wasn’t showing that I had paid so I had to go speak with a staff member. I didn’t love that the staff members are all on the fourth floor instead of welcoming you in the lobby, but as long as you know where to find them, it isn’t too inconvenient. Overall we really enjoyed the room and our stay in Salzburg."

"On the way to Salzburg from Munich, something was wrong with the train that everyone had to get off and figured out our own transportation. Upon arrival at Hotel Stein, my friend and I were hot, exhausted and a bit disheveled. Alexander at the front desk greeted us with ultimate comfort and hospitality. He offered us prosecco (which calmed our nerves) and Mozart chocolates (which cheered our mood significantly), gave us wonderful suggestions of what to do in Salzburg and was just so personable. Over the three days we were there, the most impressive was the professionalism of the staff. The location was superb as well. In the heart of Salzburg, it was easy to walk everywhere but you don’t hear any street noise while inside. Highly recommend!"
