Loads of charm, great location, and excellent communication from the host. We loved this space so much! Plenty of room for our family of four. Well provisioned for food prep and cooking, and just a short walk to the grocery. 10/10 property, I can’t imagine better accommodations for a stay in Old San Juan.

The apartment is perfect. It has everything you’d need from the kitchen supplies, to beach towels, to a comfortable bed with air conditioning, ideally located for a visit to Old San Juan. Beyond that, the feeling of the place is inspired. The art work, the interior courtyard, just everything felt right. We were sorry to leave.

Haydee is a wonderful hostess
Her home is located wonderfully in Old San Juan
However, the hot water heater was out and the roof leaks
Cold showers on vacation with friends and leaking roofs, was not what we expected as we brought our friends to a new location to show off a remarkable location

This is an old property, described accurately. It is well positioned and is an especially good value comparatively speaking. I wouldn't plan to spend hours "at home" but as a place to start your day with a cup of coffee in the courtyard and return at days end to sleep it was perfect. The host was very accommodating and responsive. Check other properties to appreciate the value.

Lovely place! Pictures are accurate, the place is quaint, cozy and has lots of charm and character, yet very spacious for a party of 4. I particularly enjoyed the fact that there is no TV.Close to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. Located on a quiet street, Haydee was a great host, came to meet us as soon as we arrived and even checked on us the following day. Please read all of her recommendations and pointers which are found in her emails and a binder in the property’s. I highly recommend this property.

Loved everything about the surroundings. Nice layout with open-air atrium. Could hear birds chirping from atrium. This atrium connects to master bedroom, which is very comfortable. All other rooms on main floor so it would be easy for someone with mobility issues to stay here. Gorgeous artwork throughout, very tasteful furnishings and everything needed for kitchen. Sleeps 4 in two bedrooms - maybe more with young kids.
Most of all, this place is within easy walking distance (about 5 minutes) to main tourist sites but the neighborhood is quiet and two streets over from where all the shops and restaurants are. Just lovely!

We had a great time! Host was a great communicator, met us at the property as she lives next door. Showed us around, went through the map with us pointing out favorite spots for us to try and checked in throughout our week stay. We had a later flight and she allowed us to leave our luggage for a bit instead of dragging it around town with us on our last day. We also had a minor incident of breaking something on accident within the property. She was very gracious and understanding about it. Would recommend and stay again! The only thing to note is there is no screen, door or anything between the open air patio and the rest of the house. Bugs were not an issue though which I am grateful for.

This Veijo San Juan home was absolutely perfect in every way. Situated in the residential area in the NE quad of Veijo San Juan near San Cristobal, it was extremely quiet and peaceful, with very little auto traffic as the street is calm and narrow. It’s truly in a beautiful location with easy fast access to main roads from the nearby parking garage (no street parking).
Inside, the home is something of a wonder. Beautifully decorated rooms with comfortable furniture and beds, large open spaces with high ceilings, two complete bathrooms—one on each end of the home. Dissecting the home in half is an open air courtyard filled with live plants and a fountain. The kitchen is open to this area. The layout is super ideal for two couples, or adult family travel with two good sized bedrooms that each have a bathroom and are on opposite ends of the home. It’s great for privacy! The kitchen is well equipped and more than enough. The fridge is ice cold! And the artwork throughout, and architecture, is so pleasing and interesting that it’s a joy to step back in for the night. Our host was so kind and generous with her time and her communication excellent! The home has everything you need, and it feels so personal. I would choose this home again and again. My adult son and I truly had a magnificent stay!

Five great female friends/sisters/niece decided on a trip. Quaint Colonial was the perfet place. We were able to enyoyed the local beaches, sights, shopping and restaurant then return to a most relaxing, fun home. We loved the center courtyard with the hammock and outdoor kitchen. We slept 2 per bed plus Haydee supplied a single blow up mattress that was perfect. It was tucked out of the way in a small room; stayed perfectly inflated and was very cozy. Check-in and out was incredibly simple. There were no outragous house rule, just simple respect for neighbors and property. Haydee was readily available via text/phone if necessary.
Note about the area: Cell service is spotty at the beaches/forest area. If you are traveling via uber/taxi, make sure you have pre-arranged return transportation. We came across 2 groups that were desperate for return transport.

This home has authentic old Puerto Rican character within easy walking distance of everything in old San Juan. Despite its age, it was very comfortable. The host was very helpful and replied quickly.
We did not have a car, which is a good thing because parking would be very challenging!

Beautiful old Spanish colonial home with a leafy internal courtyard & walls covered in interesting art. Great jumping-off point to explore old San Juan. Everything within walking distance. My only complaint … there was a party on the final night of our stay (I couldn’t work out where it was coming from .. possibly the neighbors.) I didn’t sleep until 1.30am, but thankfully my kids didn’t wake up. It was quiet for the rest of the time.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Old San Juan and this property is very cool. The host was extremely responsive and helpful allowing us to change and drop our bags well before check in time. I would give this a five star rating except for the fact that our fifth person slept on an air mattress that would not stay inflated resulting in an uncomfortable two nights of sleep. In addition an “extra person” charge was added to the bill when the listing was advertised as accommodating five adults. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we hope to return to Old San Juan in the near future.

Very funky and cool. There are steep stairs up to one of the bedrooms and the bathroom is below it. Going up and down those stairs with luggage and during the night was somewhat difficult. They layout is odd and rooms are narrow, but the charm made up for it. There is great art throughout the house. The neighborhood is great, very residential.

Want to experience what it feels like to live in OLD San Juan, open air kitchen and sitting area with open skies above, perfect. Very charming house in an ideal location to see all of the Old Town sites. Sleeps 2 comfortably and 2 more who can manage without A/C. Haydee is responsive and was there to greet us upon arrival, we recommend staying at her home !

Our hostess was lovely and very helpful with suggestions as to where to dine and what to see.
We loved the home! It was reflective of the Old San Juan style. The center courtyard was amazing and we loved the decorating, artwork and details. The fact that so much of the original structural details remained added to the overall ambiance. We would absolutely recommend this lovely home!

We stayed at Haydée's property for the Fiestas de la calle San Sebastián. The location was excellent. We were very close to the festivities, one block from where people gathered but far enough not to have lots of noisy groups in front of our door. Every day at 5pm, the comparsa would start 50 feet from our place, so we saw all the artists and musicians organizing and then could join them for the trek through calle San Sebastián.
The main bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed and the decoration is very tasteful, lots of art everywhere. It is just a beautiful place to stay. The only thing that is a concern: the bathroom is on the first floor, so anyone who has to go during the night would first have to go down a vary narrow (2 feet) flight of stairs.
Our daughter stayed in the second bedroom, even though it does not have a/c it was comfortable, probably because of the pleasant January temperatures. Her bathroom was next to the bed, very convenient.
We used the kitchen a lot. The refrigerator and the pantry were well stocked. There was no microwave oven, something we use regularly.
Haydée was very nice and always available. She even offered us ice, a big commodity during the fiestas.
All in all it was a great stay because of the location and the beauty of the house.
