"This hotel is an old mansion and luxury boutique hotel. It is well kept and would be a great venue for a wedding. As an older hotel, it has shared spaces like sitting areas, bathrooms, game rooms, etc. It has old heaters in many rooms and a claw foot bathtub in the upstairs bathroom. It is in a safe neighborhood and very convenient to downtown Couer d'Alene. We were on the 3rd floor and had to climb up some narrow staircases to our room. The floors were a bit creaky, as you would expect in a historic building. It was definitely an experience you won't get with the corporate hotels.The hosts were friendly and made breakfast. The Blackwell was a unique experience! "

"The house was set up so nice for multiple families and everything was clean. There were plenty of supplies to use and everything was in walking distance. Only negative was the shower curtain needs replacing otherwise a great place!"
