"Great dog friendly hotel."

"Our room with a view was clean and functional. It was showing some signs of 'old age' with a bit of plaster coming off the ceiling and dated furniture but the hotel is undergoing a lot of refurbishment and modern furniture would probably not be in keeping in an older building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as was the bar facilities. The restaurant was pleasant and the menu typical Greene King. As we visited as foot passengers via Wightlink the key factor for us was the hotel's location being close to the train station and bus terminus."

"We had such a fantastic stay. The hotel is right opposite two bus stops which take you right to Newport, Ryde and Sandown and there is a Co-Op just down the road. The staff were so welcoming and exceptionally friendly. The room was restocked daily and cleaned beautifully. The food on the restaurant was outstanding. It can be a bit noisy until 11 due to it being a pub but it was not ongoing and we were not disturbed by it. We could not have asked for another place to stay."

"We had a balcony room overlooking the esplanade and beach. It was spacious, a comfortable bed, plenty of drawers and hanging space and a very large shower room with walk-in shower with slip-mat, pedestal basin and WC. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided with kettle and a hairdryer. The towels were white and fresh as was the bed linen. The pub itself was decorated in a nautical theme. The menu was eclectic and the portions very generous. You can dine inside or out on the terrace which was well shaded. The staff are very hard-working and nothing is a problem for them. We would certainly return. Breakfast was varied with plenty of freshly made tea and filter coffee, juices, the full English or various options. Vegetarians are well catered for too."

"What a wonderful place on earth! Perfect location, staff ( reception, shop, pool) is helpful and professional. Special thanks to Management team for organising and running such a nice premises. It is worth mention Maintenance team for their commitment and hard work keeping impeccable territory around campus and facilities. Waiting to book another holiday to the same place. Big Thanks to all of you ANDREJS"
