Our room was spotlessly clean, amazingly comfortable, and provided the perfect sanctuary after a day in the sun. Every single person working on the property was wonderfully pleasant and attentive—the kind of warm, genuine hospitality that turns a good vacation into a memorable one. On top of that, the grounds were in immaculate shape; the pristine landscaping, lush palms, and pristine waterfront areas were continuously well-kept and breathtaking to walk through. If you are planning a trip to Marathon, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. We are already counting down the days until we can return!"

"My husband and I have been doing month-long rental homes in the Keys in the fall for last 5-6 years, and we believe we’ve found our favorite spot. This house on Big Pine Key in Doctor’s Arm on Minorca Drive was the perfect location for us! It was a short boat ride through the neighborhood canals to get to where we wanted to be…Bogey Channel. The interior of the house was clean and cozy, and looked as if it had been remodeled in the last couple of years. The living room furniture and kitchen cabinets could benefit from an update/facelift. The corner toilet in the master bath was practical and cute, however, the corner shower was a pretty tight fit. We loved the pool and spa…It was such a wonderful treat to rinse off and hop in the pool after a couple of hours lobstering. An added bonus for us was the refrigerator/freezer and bait freezer in the downstairs storage area, and the shaded fish/lobster cleaning station. We are so grateful for our host, Jen…She was absolutely fabulous!…She was very personable, easy to communicate with, and quick to respond to the few questions we had for her. We’d love to come back!"

"Beautiful property and accommodations! Was exactly what we were looking for. Pool was stocked with floats and there were activities/games for various ages. In case you forgot something there were plenty of house and pool towels and a mini pharmacy with essentials. Boat dock was perfect. The deer on the property every day was the cherry on top. A great get away!"

"Barnacle Resort Stayed 3 nights at the “Treehouse Private Village” in the Barnacle Resort on Big Pine Key. I really enjoyed my stay, the property is quite nice, and very private. One of the attractions on Big Pine Key is seeing Key deer, which astonishingly wandered around the resort property several times a day. Don’t touch or feed them, very illegal, but you can get quite close, as they are fairly tame.It wasn’t clear when I made my reservation just where the room was on the property, since the pictures mainly showed the larger building. As it turns out, my reservation was for the separate, smaller building next to the main house. The “Treehouse” was completely private, and has its own kitchen and full bath, which I really appreciated. There are three or four available rooms in the main building, along with the common areas for dining, etc. So be sure you have the correct room information when you book your stay.There were a couple of things I had to deal with, like the TV wasn’t plugged in, no power outlets in the kitchen for the coffee machine (ran it off the floor in the main room), but really nothing major. And the host responded quickly to any questions, plus I think there’s folks onsite for anything that might be needed.All in all, I was quite pleased with my experience there. If natural beauty, privacy, and location close to Bahia Honda State Park and Key West are at the top of your list, check this place out."
