"A lovely house. The grounds are phenomenal with lovely views of the countryside. Plenty of room for people. Mahil was very helpful and approachable. Pool is glorious and huge. There was a heating issue with the pool but Mahil fixed it without haste. Slight issue is the shop is probably 20 minutes away. Also we paid extra for sheets and towels as didn’t have enough room in the car but there was only one towel each and no floor mat or tea towel. Otherwise very lovely property."

"The house is a beautiful traditional building. It is light and airy with huge windows. We really liked the big walk-in showers in all the en suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are all quite separate (with the exception of two rooms) which gave everyone their own space. The gardens, terrace and pool are totally stunning and easy to relax in for adults and children alike. "We had a lovely stay in Julia’s beautiful house at the end of August. The house has everything you need and beautiful furniture and amazing views from the balcony. The garden is on several levels and is fun to explore! Lalinde is in the perfect location for a holiday in the Dordogne and we went canoeing, paddle boarding and cycling as well as visiting lots of local towns and markets. Our teenagers loved the local vide-greniers ( car boot sales)! Merci Julia!"

"Lovely house, extremely well equipped and clean. Fantastic pool and hot tub. Andy and Uliana were very helpful but not intrusive. We ate at two restaurants in Meyrals which were very good, also Sunday lunch at Aberge Medieval in Audrix, about a 15 minute drive away, was outstanding. Highlight of the week for food was Dimitri cooking for us, it was delicious, plentiful and no more expensive than eating out. We can highly recommend Les Hirondelles!"

Nous avons apprécié la grande maison, la piscine et le fait qu'il y ait tout le nécessaire sur place : serviettes, machines à laver, vaisselles, draps, etc... Nous avions 4 enfants en bas âge et pareil, il y avait beaucoup de choses pour eux : petits jeux, vaisselle incassable, trampoline, lit parapluie, cabane dans le jardin etc. La piscine est bien sécurisée. "This is a great place to relax. The house is in a beautiful part of rural France, a very short distance from the Dordogne River, and we had a great time. The outdoor dining area is great for family meals, you will not even have to use the kitchen as there is a cooker, sink, fridge and dishwasher, as well as BBQs right besides the pool. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."

A secret retreat in the Périgord
"A simply wonderful stay in a most beautiful location. The tranquility, stunning views and super pool allowed us to completely relax. The short walk through the countryside into Agonac enabled us not to use transport everyday & the added benefit of the rail station was another plus. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Lauren discreet yet there if we needed him and Collette a phone call away. We would absolutely love to return next year.
