Winter Specials! Opal Cliff Beach House

Opal Cliff Beach House is a 3 bedroom. 4 queen bed, 3 bath home on Opal Cliff Drive.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, but close to all the fun things! Views of the ocean across the street. Privates Beach just a few doors down and the Hook Surf Spot and Pleasure Point at the corner - several sets of stairs. Lovely 15-minute walk to Capitola.
One of the oldest and favorite vacation rentals in Santa Cruz - over 24 years! Many repeat guests.
Super well supplied. Luxury, comfy accommodations. Perfect spot!

With all of the amenities of home, your stay at the Opal Cliff Beach House will be comfortable and relaxing. Three bedrooms, three baths and an additional bed in the family room downstairs. Perfectly located 5 miles from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, 3 miles from Santa Cruz Harbor and half a mile to Capitola, it sits in a quiet at night neighborhood. No overflow beach parking and noise, but close to all the excitement.

We want your stay to be easy and relaxing whether it’s a family vacation, a couple’s retreat or a get-away with friends. Some of the amenities included:

Other things to note
We use eco friendly cleaning products and no pesticides are used on the property. As any home you may find spider webs, ants, occasional bug, squirrel sometimes in the tree and other local fauna. Nothing major, nothing intrusive and managed.

Parking for 4 cars on property - no street parking.

Off summer two night minimums except holidays. No Saturday or Christmas/New Years/Thanksgiving Day checkin/out.
Summer generally has 7 night minimums. Holidays have minimum night stays. Please contact us with any questions.

The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. I spoke with her a couple of times (once because I missed information that was clearly accessible-my fault.) Our host was kind and helpful.The house was excellent and served our large family's needs well. The home, while nnot being right on the beach, was within an easy 5 minute walk one way and ten minutes the other. Shopping for groceries and gifts, was near by, as well. The bright home (lots of windows and a view) was very comfortable. We hope to stay there again when we need to get everyone together.

Pleasure Point getaway

Really nice house. Plenty of room for family to have separate rooms and bathrooms. Great setup for multiple families. Beautiful decks and sunroom. Very beautiful and well equipped kitchen. Beach down the street is not really a family beach. There is a stairway but it ends short of beach leaving a climb down the cliffs to a very small beach, especially during high tide which was the entire time we were there. Beaches a few miles away are beautiful. Capitola beach is nearby and is a wonderful little town with great shops and restaurants. Pleasure point is walking distance and also has great shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed East Side Eatery Pleasure PointPizza. Great pizza and clam chowder.

Beautiful Property in Awesome Location

This house was great and had everything we were looking for, including everything we needed to cook, a wonderful location to dine in Pleasure Point or Capitola, and easy access to the beach. The house is also beautiful, very well-maintained, and has a very green and relaxing backyard. I will definitely consider staying here again.

Santa Cruz getaway

We had a wonderful time! Joyce was a fantastic host, great communication. The house has so much character, we loved it. Our family fit perfectly. All of the bikes and water toys were so convenient for a beach vacation. The hot tub was so nice at the end of the day. Super walkable location. We walk to Capitola for dinner on the beach and we walked all the way to 26th Ave. the other direction. Can’t wait to go back!

Charming

This house has it all. The owner has created an atmosphere of comfort. The house is very cute and has a full bathroom with every bedroom. Having a deck on the front and back was really nice. Make sure to use the hot tub at night with all the lights around the back was wonderful!

Great place!

We loved staying here - Great location and great house with plenty of space snide and out! We especially loved the fact that they had bikes for us to use. Our teens rode all over Santa Cruz. We’ll definitely be back!

Celebration of life

House was comfortable for all of us celebrating my husband’s love of surfing in Santa Cruz after his passing recently. The location was perfect. Our only problem was the water heater died during our stay causing inconvenience for showers and kitchen clean-up. Temporary problem I’m sure. Would recommend this house.

Perfect stay

Perfect for our bicoastal family reunion. Plenty of room for all of us (adults, a teenager, and 2 dogs) to find private space when needed but to also enjoy each others company indoors and outside (backyard and 2 decks!). Location near the beach was great for walks, runs, bike rides. Great communications w/ the host.

Most comfortable VRBO stay ever!

This place had everything! Great touches everywhere from the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms to the outdoor tables, hammocks and spa, blankets to cuddle up with while watching TV too! Just a short walk to the beach, bikes, helmets, wet suits, boogie boards. They had it all! We felt like we were home for the several days that we stayed there and would gladly go back!

Great location- well stocked home

This was a great place for some long time friends to get together. We brought everything- like spices, foil, olive oil, etc with us- but the house was really well stocked for everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable! and the living room was a great place to visit and watch the ocean. Great location with easy walking to the trail along the cliffs and to the shops down on 41st Ave. Wish we could have stayed longer- the amenities were great!

Opal Cliff Beach House

This home is located in a beautiful but quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Pleasure Point and Capitola. The house has everything you could possibly need for a family vacation. Well stocked kitchen, great media and entertainment options, and plenty of beach toys, boogie boards and bikes for your use and the beach is just a few steps away. A nice touch was the basket of plushie marine animals for the little ones!

Santa Cruz beach paradise

What a beautiful paradise! This beach house it’s so nicely decorated, the outside patio area is inviting, sunny and well-appointed. Our favorite part of the stay was spending time outdoors, swinging in the sunshine. We will definitely stay again! The neighborhood beach is steps away, fabulous location. ABSOLUTE joy!!!!
