"Started this adventure with the final mile of road not being as challenging as I thought it would be. Actually, it only adds to the backwoods atmosphere which was the idea in the first place! Cabin/cottage more than ample size, particularly with the huge deck which offers both covered and open areas for relaxing in sun or shade. And the 4-5’ ceiling height of the carpeted loft area would have been a cool and exciting sleeping-bag experience for me when I was a kid, not to mention the fun-looking stairs to climb in order to get up there! Every conceivable item of convenience has been thought of in order for guests to have an all-around perfect stay. Great view from the deck 30-40’ above the creek, as well as easy access below for fishing and/or wading. Just a great all-around enjoyable experience thanks to Alice and Doug!! "

"I’ve stayed at several rentals and this was by far the best! My family and friends had an excellent time! There were 8 of us and we never felt crowded. There is something for everyone at Gaylene’s beautiful home. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen has EVERYTHING you could ever need. We cooked every meal together and enjoyed the large kitchen and dining areas. We spent every evening and morning on the deck enjoying the view. The dock made it possible for us to bring our boats to enjoy the lake. We will definitely book again! Gaylene left excellent instructions for everything including where we could park our boat trailer. Don’t hesitate- just book it❤️. "

We enjoyed the beautiful lake view from the house, deck, and dock each day. Plus, we had so much fun with the paddle boards and kayaks. Mark is a super responsive and helpful host -- and I'll be reserving a week again next year for sure! "
