"We had a great night staying in the Yurt at Gorgeous Stays! We found it very last minute and it ended up being a highlight of our NC road trip. The inside was decorated with fun details that enhanced the caravan experience! The communal bathrooms weren't too far and were very clean. It rained most of the time but we had no issues. "All the staff members were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean. Linens were very clean including towels. However, the pillows were terribly uncomfortable. They were super hard and lumpy. The bathroom tiles on the walls need more attention to remove the mildew. Other than that, you can have a quiet night’s sleep."

"First the good. The view was spectacular and the house was lake front. There were lots of water toys (canoes, kayaks, etc) available. The dock was very nice. The house was clean and neat. The showers had good water pressure. As for the negatives: The house was very dated for the price. There was no dishwasher and we were required to hand wash the dishes and wonder what kind of job the previous renter did with the dishes (We washed them before using in case). The bathroom doors are pocket doors with no locks, so privacy was an issue. One of the pocket doors was broken when we arrived, but I managed to fix it. I also had to fix the handle on one of the sliding glass doors. There window treatments were cheap horizontal slats. It was impossible to get the room dark at night."

"Only issue we had was the phone service doesn't actually work. We bought a new land line phone for it, its not the phone. There is some kind of line interference but when someone talks to you it just makes a muffled growling sound and they cant hear you either.Please have the phone service checked out. Outside of that though, this is without a doubt a dream stay if you are wanting to unplug and enjoy a fresh mountain stream and some coffee on the porch!"

"Mathew’s Mansion is an adorable house that is nestled in the trees. We truly felt like we were staying in a little treehouse. We enjoyed the porch area while sitting in rocking chairs, listening to sounds of nature and drinking our coffee. You can see through the trees to the lake which is absolutely beautiful. It was so peaceful. We appreciated the kayak to use on the lake. You can transport it on your vehicle to Cheoah Point Beach, a few minutes away to put it in there. The beach has a swimming area, picnic tables, a short trail along the right side that leads to a large rock that everyone jumps off and incredible mountain views. At night, we loved the large deck to grill. It was also neat to see the twinkling lightning bugs around us. The inside was the perfect amount of space for a small family. There is a queen bed in one bedroom and a full size bed in the other (not a twin). The window air conditioner in the living room does a good job keeping the main area cool. The bedrooms have ceiling fans but bring 2 smalls fans for extra air. We also brought air fresheners. There is no TV or WiFi but we had fun playing board games and spending quality time together. Robbinsville is about 10 minutes away for groceries, etc. We also went to Bryson City, 40min away, to hike the Deep Creek Trail, go tubing and swim in the waterfall. Then, we walked around their neat shops and ate dinner at Tuck and Table on the river. We will definitely stay again. Marsha was great! Thank you!"
