"We stayed in Suite Luna at Wantara. The pics were very accurate, the suite was exceptionally clean, the outdoor areas were a quiet oasis in the city, and the gated entrance felt very secure. We enjoyed the bakery at the top of the street and the dining suggestions from Marcelo. It was only a short walk 10 mins walk to old town or a $2.00 cab ride. Cheers, David & JoAnne"

"We spent a week in Quito acclimatizing to the altitude before heading out on a week of hiking/running. This place was wonderful and as quiet as you can get in a city of 2 million. It was in a convenient location to the Old Town, and a short walk to the bus tops and places to pick up taxis. The apartment was well furnished with a comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely fireplace. A couple hints - bring ear plugs - the dogs of Quito do not sleep at night.
