"If you want to have a lakeview, call Capital Properties. The lakeview cabins are all Time Shares. However, all pictures of the property on VRBO or on Expedia and even on the actual website all lead one to believe you are getting a lakeview condo. It did not indicate to call them before booking to inquire about a lakefront condo . The write-up did not how views of the specific condo, showing the outside in the woods. . We were not the only one. Our neighbor believed the same thing, hence real disappointment. We would not have booked there if it was not a lakefront property. As compensation for out disappointment, they waived the pet fee.
Nonetheless, the condo was very nice, well appointed. The other resort amenities, especially the 9 hole golf course and the lake and boat rental were really nice. The location was near to restaurants in Cashiers and a grocery store. Highlands was 30 minutes away. The weather was heaven (last week in June). Capital Properties' staff was friendly and helpful, except for above."
