"This is a great hotel in an area outside the ‘ inner ring’ but transport into the centre is so easy by 71 tram or the metro. There are also several excellent restaurants a stones throw away so no need to travel into the centre. Also a great bakery right next door. The rooms are large with good facilities, though a few t bags and coffee pods would have been nice. A lamp by both sides of the bed would have made life easier too! My only quibble on cleanliness was that the corridor carpet needed a really good hoover but in the three days we stayed there it remained dirty. Otherwise a great find at a reasonable price for Vienna"

"It’s more budget than you’d expect for a premier inn - no tea making facilities in the reception or in the room and no drinking water without paying for it. The bathroom was a bit worse for wear. The location is very convenient for the station though and the room was clean so if you’re looking for super budget then it is that."

"Very nice hotel with good service. Great location, within walking distance to the old city, museums and Wien Mitte train station (train/bus to airport) We enjoyed a coffee on the terrace and had a great traditional schnitzel dinner in the restaurant. As other reviews mentioned it, we found the glass shower not very convenient; you have to be open about having your travel partner looking at you in the shower from the bed and the sink (or you send them to the bar for an hour ;) The door closer of the toilet is quite hard to open. I found that comment wired but it’s true; it’s something easily fixable as the strength can be regulated."

"Novotel Hauptbahnhof was truly perfect for a 5 night stay in Wien with my parents, where we needed easy access to the Hauptbahnhof and public transit. The D line is 3 mins away, and the train station is even closer. The staff here were incredible, warm, and helpful, the restaurant and especially the bar staff were amazing, and the property is a great value for the amenities, rooms, and the convenience. Our flight arrived in Wien early, and even though we were able to store our bags for a bit, our room was ready shortly before 10am. 10 out of 10, no notes!"
